The Tokyo one was EPIC and GREAT!! Just went on it today. It had a makeover and now, its easier to point the lights, and if the light hits the Monsters Inc. Logo helmet, a monster pops up!
actually, all three rides are great experiences! This one is a unique ride where you can do something while riding! then in magic kingdom (walt disney world) we have a comedy show where they actually talk to you! then in Disneyland, it is a fastinating way of riding the story of monsters inc. (also a good dark ride)
i know there is a japanise audio dub of the ride? BUT is there a english audio dub too> i heard it in the queline, but not on the ride.. can anyone answer my question??
I Love this Video and also I checked out your Channel. Very interesting! If you need any help getting this Video and your Channel exposed to were it is top in all the search I found this site called tubeviews.(net) that has took my breath away. I'm working on my 4th Channel now, this one I just made. My Videos are getting so many hits now. Check it out and keep in touch.
I really am wondering if they'll ever build anything like this again at Disneyland. I don't care if it's Pixar or whatever, I just hope they build a new e-ticket soon!
the Oriental Land Company is is doing an awsome job in tokyo. what is walt disney company doing? not saying that our american parks are bad but look at this compared to the monsters inc laugh floor in florida .or the trackless pooh ride in tokyo compared to the calfornia version
It's a sad state of affairs that Disney spends more money on their attractions & rides overseas than in their US parks. The Winnie the Pooh ride in Tokyo is an E ride, the US version is a C ride at best....not this! Shame on you Disney.
Which isn't saying much. I won't expect much from this makeover. Just look at Expedition: Everest. They spent millions of dollars into building that attraction yet none of the effects are working anymore. Tokyo Disney Resort just happens to go for that extra mile in live entertainment, maintaining, and keeping the whole place in good condition.
For those knocking on the whole Flashlight Tag deal: Why not wait until actually trying it? I look forward to going on it and discovering little secrets every time. I can see a lot of re-ride value in this one!
Kinda reminds me of the searchlight feature on the 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea attraction over on the other park, Tokyo DisneySea...
If you look for those videos, it's hard to understand the ride.
i dont speak japanese iot my guess is that boo has escaped and they dont want randall to fin her so mike turns off the cities power and gives you flashlights to look for her and get to her before randall ( just a guess )
I honestly don't know how to react to this. It was an onslaught of images and I got the basic story, but was also completely lost. I don't see the point of the flashlight gimmick either. Do they do anything for the attraction? It didn't seem like it. My initial reaction is that it seems like it went too fast, not in terms of actual speed, but the pacing just felt frantic. It looks like it's basically the ride in DCA with a little more time and money put into it and a building designed for it.
Did all animatronics survive the eartquake ?
Would love to have a ride... In a few years !!!

This is soooo much cooler than the California Adventure ride! D: Especially the conveyor belt Randall runs down at the end.

I like this ride Calfornia one sucks
Hottelio120 2 years ago 7
I agree... this ride is much more interactive... the California one is just a basic Dark Ride with smells and a nifty interactive Roz at the end.

this looks awesome im a big fan of disney movies, especially monsters inc!
can some who understands japanese translate or tell what boo and sulley and mike were saying.
im curious, at the ending when shes hugging him
. what they say??
priestessgirl88 2 years ago
rough translation...
sulley: "oyasumi, boo. tanoshikatta ne?" = goodnight, boo. it was fun, right?
boo: "nyan, nyan." = (affectionate sound for a cat)
mike: "honto. .... no koto o wasurenai yo." = [it was] really [fun]. don't forget about us. (i'm guessing that's what he meant)
boo: "mike wazowski."

It is cute all right but...
Was it worth it to demolish "Meet The World" to make this attraction??? In my oppinion "No!"
It is the same with demolishing "Le Visionarium" to make the Toy Story ride. Everything is too commercial now:-(
I wanna go back to Disneyland before.

yup that beats mike and sulley to the rescue, but ours in dca is stil cool.

I'm pretty sure I will never forgive them for the craptacular version at DCA! And seeing this video further cements that thought in my mind!

Well, you should keep in mind who is investing the money. In the case of Tokyo Disneyland, it's the Oriental Land Company and NOT Disney themselves.

The story I think is that M Inc. is having a flashlight tag thing, and Randall is trying to get Boo. Just a guess.
