You know i stick to superfoods that grow wild like nettles, ramsons, dandelions and i eat lots of flowers for natural bee pollen ;) I inject myself with vitamin b12 since 4 weeks now, and i have to say my energy increased immediately, my mood improved, and even my hair stopped falling out! I get my D with going on tanning beds 3x a week for 10 min. If you don't put chemical creams on the skin and are careful not to burn they are perfect for D deficiencies! It shows in my blood tests.
I have been having trouble lately on my raw food diet and I have been curious about "superfoods" for a while and mainly because I haven't had a job and been lacking funds I haven't tried them. But I finally tried some Goji Berries and I think they are the best things ever. I will try some others and see how I react once I start getting my pay checks from my new jobs. I ate some cooked food the past few days since I am low on money and haven't wanted to spend much and don't feel as great as I did
I think making sure you get enough calories is the most important and you can only do that without getting a bank loan to pay for all the super foods with lots of fruit. Fruit is the way to go not processed super foods.
Getting enough calories from fruit is way more important than eating superfoods...If anything,I would supplement with some Hemp seeds in a smoothie, and sling some spirulina in banana ice cream for green ice cream, but focusing on them will not give your body the fuel it needs...Drinking green juice feels so good! Ultimate Lemon Ginger Blasts all day!~
Avoiding malnutrition on a healthy raw food diet, involves eating enough fruit; in order to maintain a sufficient energy intake. Nuts and seeds are generally not a viable long term solutions, since prolonged intakes of fats will damage the blood's ability for efficient energy (sugar) consumption, whilst a purely fat based diet (avoiding all sugars) necessitates the utilization of the body's secondary energy source; ketones (a state of ketosis); resulting in suboptimal performance.
I am glad you mentioned emotional and spiritual health........so important.......looking within and feeling whatever you need to feel..........people so want to avoid this usually.....being rigid about anything does not serve you well.......listen to your intuitive heart.....we need listen deeply to our own truth.
Kai I always get a kick out of your videos. One of my goals for 2012 is to bring more raw food into my diet. And I plan on doing it with the help of your videos. Merry Xmas and Happy New Year!
