from 3:10 through 3:18, the pick rips across the strings muted befor hitting the note on bottom string, listen to em' there are 3 or 4 of them there. i love doin' that. dude, i've looked at several of your videos on here and i quote another reply i seen on here. you got to be the best basement guitar player ? i have seen on here. i wish i had a nice SG, love em'. you got to be a pro. excellent playing and really like your style

does the harmonic minor pattern stay the same all the way up the neck?

Every pattern stays the same all the way up until you run out of frets. Just keep in mind that in certain areas of the neck, a different pattern might work more efficiently.

Scales and patterns are 2 different things. You can have several different patterns for any given scale depending on the application. I like using the Harmonic Minor scale, but there are lots of others too, such as the Melodic Minor, Natural Minor, Blues Scale, etc.

I'm using a Boss SE-50 rack processor here, but the Boss DD-6 is a very good delay pedal also.

No, the record deal never came...it seemed close at times but there seemed to always be some conflict within the band that messed things up.

Answering everyone elses questions, I'm my opinion, yes it comes from the "inside" But, Riffguy's key to shredding is his right hand. Notice how his right hand is in the same position when he shreads to when he's hammering barchords. His palm isn't laying flat across the strings. It's harder to do do but possible with metronome work and look at the payoff...Awsome!

I think it was because I was not playing very loudly, once I open them up past 5 and work the output tubes a bit, it smooths out

Pretty much my usual blend of the blues scale, minor, harmonic minor (phrygian dominant) and I tossed in a bit of the mixolydian mode.......or you could just say I played the chromatic scale in various sequences....hahaha

I started playing guitar on an SG copy then played Strats for years and now I am really getting into SG's again.......I like them all for different reasons......Strats are the most versatile though, just need a lot of tweaking to set them up right.
