went here today for a tour. I don't know whether to feel bad for these people or to just get use to the far that their prisoners. its soo hard seeing people live in these conditions......like its a horrible horrible place.

You wonder why minor drug crimes result in jailtime? It's because corporations take advantage of cheap labor. You wouldn't believe the amount of jobs that are farmed out to cheap prison labor... everything from manufacturing to customer service, to airline reservations.

If you collect license plates, you're happy to find an error plate (embossed upside-down in comparison to the printed background, etc.)

People need to know that it is important that prisoners work and that they learn skills that will help them when they are released.

FSP is one fucked up place. Butler is fucked up too. Marion isn't all that bad but if you go to prison in Florida, pray you get a Geo Group camp!

They should be making those in the heat. They should also be without a/c at night and grow their own food and NO internet access. You cannot rehabilitate a repeat offender. Every time I pick up a newspaper and read about a crime "repeat offender"always follows. What about their victims???

fyi do some research! FSP doesn't have AC nor does it have internet access for the inmates. For that matter, 99% of the prisons do not have AC (medical does) and none have internet for inmates.. so do research before sounding like a fool

HMM... my first 3 are N27 and my wife's are KN8, which happen to be the first 3 letters of her Tucson's VIN..

I have noticed recently that they have changed the zero's in the tag to look more oval. Florida only uses 25 letters in the tags. Zero's are mistaken for O's all the time.  This should fix that mistake now.

They are all made there. It is actually made at Union Correctional Institution. The old Florida State Prison was moved down the road.
