In the past I owned 3 minis. My first one was a Mini Countryman 1962,an excellent car, a little car with a lots of room in the back. My second Mini was a Cooper S, 1968 with the 2 carbs,powerful little car,loved it. My third one was a Mini 1000, 1974. I didn't keep any of them unfortunately and sadly. I wish they would still make these cars today "the real ones". Thanks for posting this video.

I now own two mini's (74 and 77 ) and looking to get another .I live in Utah USA and to what I see I have the only minis in this part of the state.You would be amazed at the people who want one.I have had at least 45 people take pictures of the 74..

@no1saphead Minis (original ones) in the UK aren't so common anymore but you still see the odd one around. I have a 91' Mini Mayfair and I love it, people just adore it!

Yes it is terrible, the new Mini is well built, reliable, sells profitably in huge numbers and keeps thousands in well paid high technology manufacturing jobs. Not the British way of doing things at all!

i'm a 53yr man from birmingham, owned many mini's, current car is a 2000 mini7, worked on the track at rover (mini & metro) and have seen the bulldozers at longbridge, my dad worked there, my mother, sister, 2 brothers, it brings a lump in my throat and a sicking in my stomach to see it now, long live the ''real mini''

The only reason they stopped making it was because BMW owned the name at that point and made them stop. They couldn't release a retro version of something that was being made.

One of the reasons why I hate the new *MINI* it isn't the car itself, its what was done to make it.

I got a mini cooper for my 18th, me and my family picked her up on the day from London drove her back to Nottingham, the engine wasn't even running properly, the manifold was half a inch from the rest of the engine at one point as well as well as other problems. I'm now 23. I finished rebuilding her from the ground up, replacing, upgrading or refurbishing every part on her. It took me & my family nr 5 years. But I took her out today and she's faster then my mates Lexus is200 sport.
