what an ego centric idiot. puking his new religion. imitation of genuis does not make one intelligent. besides nietzsche was far from genuis. just a man who could not accept reality and so created his own.
@mchrist910 Yeah, I had to talk that way since the mic I was using was so sensitive, and I did not want to have the intense sounds from breath when I pronounced "p" and "t". :) Bummer really, since I get good compliments on my voice. To hear a sample of my voice talking normally, watch this video I did with better mic: youtube.com/watch?v=xIT_Aj1M2Uo
@mchrist910 I was reading a script I guess. I am an animated guy, but I can see why you would say monotone with that video I linked you too. It was a "news story". Check out some of my other stuff. Look at "Burkut's Epik Journey", where I play Borat's cousin in my journey to America, accent and all. Definitely not monotone. Ha. :)
@mchrist910 Good suggestion. I have actually filmed a handful of more Cig Sessions, one for Jim Morrison, and William S. Burroughs. Did you see my Charles Bukowski one? Kerouac with jazz would be cool.
yea that was the first one i saw, i was looking at various bukowski videos and stumbled upon it. i actually havent read much nietzche but from what i hear, he's a little to morose for me. burroughs, fucking epic though. and of course morrison was a prophet.
Well done. The only flaw came when the music rose just a little too much and I had to turn it way up to understand the words mingled with it. Anyway, you also chose a very good passage, and one revealing interesting beliefs and postures for Nietzsche, although from the first word he wrote his philosophy never stayed the same. Thanks.
1. Milton wrote something very different, regarding trial and contradiction.
2. Anecdotal evidence, especially ONE piece of it, logically proves nothing.
3. You should step outside of your view-frame of thousands of years, and imagine the very first human who thought anything at all, let's say, "beauty is its own purpose". If one person could ever be the first to think something, it is still possible. Something new in the most particular way is still original. You only have to look harder.
Have you heard much of his music? His music is fantastic. A lot of people are not familiar with his music, or that he wrote any music at all! Be sure to check out 'Cigarette Sessions: Bukowski'. Very glad you liked the video.
Geez, how embarrassing. No, I wasn't aware of that. I'm glad you told me though, now I need to investigate some more.. I really thought I had a clue. Bukowski is neat also, will do!
I am actually not studying Nietzsche. This film is part of a series that will feature myself and friends from all around the world, in their languages (subtitled in English of course). The concept is that I will use author's words, and have an inner dialogue going on for the person in film. Different locations, cities, countries, etc. Cafe, flat, street, anywhere really. Watch another in the series, 'Cigarette Sessions: Bukowski'. An L.A. poet who died in the '90s.
PS. Hope you watched more of my films, and liked. I'm working right now on my favorite film I have ever made, of my 98 on here. Will be out by this weekend. Upcoming films shot, needing editing: Biking Maui Volcano, Ninja Movie in Hawaii, Deep Sea Fishing Hawaii, Cigarette Sessions: Shakespeare's Hamlet, RHCP's 'Charlie', Family of Zits (animated), Ham-lette (college student cramming for exam, sees cooking omelettes portray Hamlet), and more... creativity + imagination = ultimate diversity.

Nice style, the constantly jiggling camera was distracting though.
nathanyull 2 years ago
Not bad though since I was starring in it AND shooting myself the entire time, right? I was the actor and cameraman on this. :)
Spooly 2 years ago
Oh, that's not jiggling. I edited it with constant fading to give it a ghostlike quality.

"That which does not kill me, makes me stronger."--Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche, 1844-1900: German philosopher
This famous para-phrasing was actually written by John Milton about 300 years earlier. There is no original thought. Only our version of an idea.
