I think they should make a comeback, it would sell a bit less than GTAIV because a lot of 13 year old kids don't know what the hell the Driver series is about and would rather stick to the GTA series, but a lot of fans of ATARI and the Driver series would buy it (including me) But what can I say? Your tanner again in a '78 Challenger and it turns out he didnt die in driver 3, but actually went in a coma. the makers also hint that in parallel lines in the 2006 part at the manhattan safehouse, there is graffiti saying tanner lives. im pretty sure san francisco is a dreamlike thing while tanner is still in a coma but i dont know.
They should have limited the number of on-foot missions. The Police AI should have been toned down too. The cinematic style of this game was wonderful.

I remember buying this OST soon after the game came out.... I wasn't allowed to play it, so I did anyway. Then I got my mom to buy me the soundtrack for a then-amazing $1.83 total. Awesome blossom.

Haha me too. The driving's okay, can be really good at sometimes but to be honest, you're right the soundtrack and cutscenes are the only thing that stood out!
The 70's style was nice but it lacked one thing that was quite common in the 70's, VW's. It also didn't feature cheap crummy micro-cars that'd be a blast to push around. I would've loved to outrun a few Dodge Monacos (something else not featured) by driving into a lake in an old Beetle.
Had this game, loved the driving, hated the shooting portions, AMAZING music selection, too bad the film recorder didnt always work the greatest. Either way, love this song.
The Driving portions were just loosely adapted and modernized from the previous games. The walking portions were adapted from Driver 2 (just added jumping, strafing etc). The shooting portions were just clipped on for the sake of competing with games like Grand Theft Auto.

actually... thats not the actual song that feature in the game...
Mellowdrone's C'mon n' Try has 2 different versions of it...
the one with some guy saying something in what appears to be a radio at the beginnig, and at the end...
this appears to be it... even if you cut that part.
and the version we hear in the game its a little different... MUCH BETTER... i can't find it anywhere,,, but i have a copy that I extracted from a youtube video...

I think that the only reason people own Driv3r is because of its soundtrack and its cutscenes and nothing else.

Haha me too. The driving's okay, can be really good at sometimes but to be honest, you're right the soundtrack and cutscenes are the only thing that stood out!

well the o0nly thing i liked about driver paralell lines was the storyline and the game time. I like games in 70's style.

The 70's style was nice but it lacked one thing that was quite common in the 70's, VW's. It also didn't feature cheap crummy micro-cars that'd be a blast to push around. I would've loved to outrun a few Dodge Monacos (something else not featured) by driving into a lake in an old Beetle.

Had this game, loved the driving, hated the shooting portions, AMAZING music selection, too bad the film recorder didnt always work the greatest. Either way, love this song.

The Driving portions were just loosely adapted and modernized from the previous games. The walking portions were adapted from Driver 2 (just added jumping, strafing etc). The shooting portions were just clipped on for the sake of competing with games like Grand Theft Auto.
