that stock air box at the throttle body is so restricting, i have an '07 ls base 5-speed and took that off and put a little filter. i know it gave a CEL but i did decent against a '11 mazdaspeed 3 with mods. definitely noticed a power increase.

I drive a fwd auto and i still take people in rx7's and gsx's and STILL get respect. by the way, you know another car that's 4 door and auto? a m3, m5, amg, plenty of lexus's... yeah, real pieces of trash right?
i don't like American cars, but i do respect people who modify their cars, one piece of advice would be to drop the car a little bit your riding really high, lowering springs are always your best bet if you cant do coil-overs and remove those decals they wont give you any extra horse power
sounds pretty good. i was driving a 2007 cobalt ls the other day.. it wasnt that bad of a car. no leg space for a 6ft driver. the acceleration wasnt to bad neither. the ecotec technology was kind of weird. it seemed the rpm's dropped rather slow. the engine sounded pretty good with the pedal through the floor.
@skaterboy520c yea, im only 5'6, perfect car for me, my standards rpms are near perfect with the dc sports exhaust, it even pulls in 5th. im pushin almost 170 horse
@skaterboy520c no leg space for a 6 foot driver? you weren't sitting back all the way then, because i drive a cobalt and i'm 6'2" and i like to sit to where my arm is fully extended to reach the steering wheel, and i still have 2 or 3 notches to slide back.
@liquidr0x0r cobalt has PLENTY of Length space but the side to side knee room is a bit small, Im a big guy 6 ft 2 275 pounds of sold beer and buffalo chicken and I dont mind it for a daily driver everyone once in a while my knee gets annoyed and i hated it until i bought a armrest that really makes a differnce.
Hate to break it to you dude..... But your headlights are NOT H.I.D.. Where's the ballasts? Where's the projectors themselves. You must have got those bulbs at Auto Zone that were $20 on the rack, that SAY they are HID. It's B.S. I can tell you how to do the mod if your interested? But I'd suggest changing your information bar to "Fake HIDs". Thanks.
less back pressure = more power not less. less air for the engine work at pumping out means more power used to turn the wheels. the only thing to worry about is burning up exhaust valves if you have almost no back pressure
@burtonrider13897 3inches is definilty overkill on these cars especially an NA/2.2l. The most you should go is 2.75 unless you get a turbo. if not your pretty much losing power from a 3" exhaust. these cars need back pressure to build power.
well is sounds custom,but if your looking for performance ,i suggest you go to a 2 -1/4 inch piping and a 20$ muffler...but hey thats just me,my car sounds bad ass with the exhaust opend,but i put the silencer on for performance...
