Glad you got it back, what i do is i put my name and a number on it so if i lose mine and someone finds it they can contact me, if they aren't scumbags.

If the plane came down and crashed into a person or car, it would be best not to have your name and Tel # on it. In the USA a major issue would be made of the crash, and the pilot would probably be charged with a crime. I know if I made a flight above the clouds, I wouldn't want the plane traced back to me ! It also looked quite cold out during the flight. Batteries don't hold their charge as well in the cold. He probably didn't get the flight time he expected. Great video though!

After reading this youtube article I came up with the idea to make up a poster for my missing red winged easystar FPV that was flying in stabilize mode towards yellow canola farmland.

I have posted it at 2 local flying clubs and I really think that it can be seen single engine Cessna planes that usually fly in the area.

I wanted to post my poster at the Stony Plain Alberta Safeway grocery store bulletin board but they won't post it. The manager is not allowing it to be posted.

v lucky it 'found' a kind person. i lost control of my non fpv plane the other day - bad battery connection so i know the horrible feeling. saw where it went down so it was ok. even ultra micros can glide a v long way when they die high up

Lucky you made it back to the shore and lucky some woman found it and gave it back to you. Nice video but I can imagine you weren't feeling too happy during those last minutes. I lost my 1st Easystar because I didn't reinforce the tail with a carbon rod (I think). I went into a dive and the plane became out of control probably because the tail bent. Result: the steeringcable couldn't move the elevator so it kept diving straight into hundreds of meters of cornfield. I never got my plane back :-(

Not sure where to ask this question so hopefully someone here can help. I purchased a 900mhz plug and play package with a fpvcam480. I attached seperate 11.1 2200ma batteries to the transmitter and receiver. I've got leds on both units. I'm on channel 1 on both units and the cam voltage switch is correct. I get a mostly green screen with static sounds that change with transmitter movement, but no picture. I've tried different tvs and channel selections. Any ideas?

Really glad you got your plane back my friend. I wonder would streaming a little atnenae under the plane where it wouldn't interfere with the prop or flaps ect help it's range much? It'd be cool if there was enough weight limit or room to affix a little mini emergency spare battery you can switch to that would give you another 30 seconds or min of either flight, controls only, both, none of those, and just the Camera so you can see where it lands would be really cool. Nice. super stable flight.

You probably know this, but there are some OSDs that show an arrow that points back to the transmitter so you don't get lost and out of range. I don't know the brand/model, but I've seen them on youtube. I guess they're more pricey, but definitely worth it.

the only way a little foamy would ever take a plane down, is being sucked into an engine, and 99% of the time it would just disintegrate without engine damage.

the 1 in a million shot that it damages the engine? most planes have multiple engines, and will land just fine.

the 1 in a trillion that it doesnt? there is going to be NOTHING left of that RC plane. certainly nothing that would be tracable back to you.
