when i saw these guys the bassist had a captains hat on and a pipe. he was the captain of the party boat he said rofl. Big Bussines/The Melvins, great fucking show.
I'm going to see these guys in about a month, for the second time. They are amazing, and have now added guitarist Toshi Kasai to the lineup. Coady Willis is just flat out one of the best drummers in heavy music. Love watching him.
dude i saw these guys a couple of times opening for the melvins, some heavy ass shit. The drummer does that shit FOR TWO sets. Stood in the front row and i could just feel the vibrations from the bass. completely heavy
Yep Yep, I saw them open for Tool and they killed, then with the Melvins that same summer. We were a foot away form his drumset it was just insane. I hope see them many many more times
BIG BUSINESS are one of the most important contribution's to modern punk music. The sound quality on this vid is not so good, but you can see and feel the power.. do you realize that this a 2-piece? drum/bass..get either of their records and be blown away. See them live and be blasted to bits. Also they make up one half of the almighty MELVINS.. research it.
was that in portland? i saw them.... too much distortion. the bass got mixed with everything else and it sounded like one long bass line. drummer kicked ass... i saw him toss the stick. he recovered real well from it though.
It was kinda cool, there was some middle aged hippie on acid that chased me, he thought he was a heliocopter. Prly some of the scariest shit i've ever seen
I just saw these guys open for Tool tonight in Montreal. They fucking rocked, and the drum solo with Danny Carey was off the hook. These guys are gonna go far!!!!!
coal90: I was at the Bell Centre too! Pretty good show...I was very impressed with Big Business. Drummer is outstanding. Solo w/ Carey was highlight of the night, by far.
Big Biz-snatch rocks! Live sound needs work though. Serious EQing in order to get those highs out of that monster bass. Losing mucho melody in the mud.
this drummer is fucking sick as fuck, can you imagine when they tour with the melvins, dale and this dude together playing at the same time o my fucking god, this will be the shit
coady doesn't play the drums he attacks them!!

they're really good and i like them just as much as tool but you can't say they put tool to shame at all really~ you bloody hipster
just because a band is popular doesn't mean it's bad, there's a thing called subjectivity, and et cetera

That is an odd kit setup the drummer has.
GODgne 3 years ago
That's because he plays left-handed. Otherwise, it's just a simple four-piece kit.

I saw these guys open for the Blood Brothers. After their set I started paying more attention to drummers in bands not just the guitar and vocals.

Was there too. From where I was sitting, the sound was terrible for BB . The drum was too loud. I couldn't distinguish what the bassist was playing.
Tool really kicked ass though.

They're just awesome. I still prefer Dale Crovers drumming over Coady willis. Coady is like a copy of him but not quite as good, but he'll get there.
Big business and melvins is just a totally awesome and perfect couple. It's probably the greates combination in music history!
