When racists find out that many Mexicans are Native Americans, specifically those whose Mexican ancestors are indigenous to the Americas (Mayan, Mexica, Chichimeca, Olmeca, Tarahumara, Yaqui, etc.) it's as if they just found out that the President of the US is black or something!!! Sheesh!!!
I totally agree with what you say. In our society whenever a group of people want their rights, or decide they don't want to oppose a tyrannical government. They are considered nationalists or racists. In their opinion it's racist for a Mexican to change his/her name from a Spanish name to an Aztec name. To them it's racist for an Indigenous American to want their land back. To them it's racist for an indigenous person to speak out against the wrongs that have happened to them.
The so-called democracy in Ancient Greece (The only pre-modern Western democracy) was an elitist slave-holding oligarchy. The ruling parties in Athens shifted between the Democrats and the Oligarchs. The difference between them amounted to the extent to which they agreed to share power. The Oligarchs thoughts a small group should dominate all, whereas the Democrats thought a slightly larger group should dominate all. Don't take my word, look it up.
The only strength there is well one of the few is Education. setting up a private education with good teachers well open our eyes and set us free. trough public state runned well be difficult. and slow process
