Like all the Supra hate here. How many motors other than the 2jz can handle 1000hp on stock internals? How many other cars have been built to do 6's in a quarter mile? I don't think anything can touch a 1300rwhp Supra. And even after all the mods its still street legal. The Corvette looking better thing is just a personal opinion. I would take the Supra anyday over a Zr1 or Zo6 and I love have have just as much respect for the Corvette.

At the time I was making 280 to the wheels and with a car weighing 1800lbs a .155 power to weight ratio compared to the z06 at 3175lbs and 480whp is a .151 power to weight I do not see how I couldn't win the race it was very very close but I did come out ahead. Just sharing what happened you can believe me or not. I know that I won regardless of what you think of my cereal box toy I loved the guys look when he got beat by a "toy."
Supra's , Skylines, Cobra's, they're all complete beats, but the kings will always be Corvettes, sorry guys but a STOCK corvette sets a benchmark and a modded one sets the limits.

Hands down you can buy a brand new vette for 50k that will get YOU to 60mph in 4 seconds, the 1/4mi in 12.4 @ 115mph and still finesse some of the worlds best leading exotics that cost well over 100k. Don't get me wrong the supra is fast, but their production and improvement on the vehicle by the company has not progressed. The vette line continues to improve their performance. I just like vettes and american muscle. I like turners to -- very customizeable.

A T61 turbo on a bone stock motor on pump gas aint gonna be enough to beat a C6 Z06. I would say this same turbo with a few more pounds of boost and some 264s.
I do love the new Z06 vettes but that's still a baby sized turbo on the supra. Get one of the new 6765 billets from precision and put out 700+ with e85. Supras will forever be the kings of roll racing, that being said both are sick cars.

However, from a roll a supra will pretty much murder any/most V8's. There's a reason why supras are nicknamed the "highway king". One reason is because they are way to hard to find unmodified/6speed/targa under 30k. If you have the money to drop 50k to pull 10's good for you, Id rather spend 15k total and do the same thing with a bigger motor and spray. To each his own, but all imports are is a money pit. @sirrloin my friend just raced a supra with upgraded rods,cams and a 80mm turbo in his c6 z06 with a cam, bolt ons and a 150 shot and beat the supra from a 40-150mph 4 times in a row. the supra is nasty but not nasty enuff. the vette traps 143mph in the 1/4.

The reason why some peeps buys Z06's over a supra is not stupid. Some peeps perfer high HP all motors vs a smaller turbo charged motor. And most peeps not all most that own the newer Z06's are older mature people. I've always wanted a supra since I was a kid, but left it there when i was a kid.

@WestLosHomiez actually it really depends on how your setup is... the best all around turbo i've seen on a supra is the GT47 setup... the T88 is badass don't get me wrong, but the GT47 although smaller can hold more psi.
all that needs to happen here is to keep racing, your going from a 50 or so roll, then to what? about 120? get that supra up to 130 and well see who wins :)

the Corvette Z06 is worthy of respect and admiration, its V8 engine is capable of overcoming atmospheric v10 and even v12 engines (vipers, lambo, ferraris etc) and cost much less. this with the turbo Supra or beats the z06. understand that the engine of the Z06 is the most advanced in hp-torque is concerned. Imagine 515 HP without turbo. please, watch your videos for you to realize.
Guys are kidding me that think the Supra would have passed the Z06. That car traps mid 120s all day and runs to 198 mph. It would not have been that easy. We won't even talk about a TT Z06. The reason why some peeps buys Z06's over a supra is not stupid. Some peeps perfer high HP all motors vs a smaller turbo charged motor. And most peeps not all most that own the newer Z06's are older mature people. I've always wanted a supra since I was a kid, but left it there when i was a kid.

@crf150yo are u slow? its a lightweight 505 at the crank car.... its going to pull on the low side and high. if it was just a low end car, it would take the jump at the start and as the supra goes up in the rev it would walk it down. that didnt show in this vid

the Corvette Z06 is worthy of respect and admiration, its V8 engine is capable of overcoming atmospheric v10 and even v12 engines (vipers, lambo, ferraris etc) and cost much less. this with the turbo Supra or beats the z06. understand that the engine of the Z06 is the most advanced in hp-torque is concerned. Imagine 515 HP without turbo. please, watch your videos for you to realize.

Guys are kidding me that think the Supra would have passed the Z06. That car traps mid 120s all day and runs to 198 mph. It would not have been that easy. We won't even talk about a TT Z06. Hell, with ported stock heads and cam, they hit over 600 rwhp. I wish they did keep going so I wouldn't read so many excuses.
