@58Octavarium thanks man! I do know my theory even though I am self taught. I learn songs and write my own stuff. Usually my practice mostly consists of metronome work, and then after that I will work on any songs I have been learning and then write some too.

Great cover man!The mix of John Petrucci's tone and a Paul Gilbert song make for an unusually perfect mix. What pickups are in that JP signature? I don't see The Crunch Lab or The D Sonic so I'm a tad confused.

@Fluffypopcicle Thanks man!!! And yea it's the JP50 by sterling and they come with the Sterling Hi Output humbuckers (which are modeled off of some dimarzio pickups). For stock pickups they are fantastic, but I'm definitely looking to upgrade to the Crunchlab/Liquifire set soon!

@gonzo5648 Thank you so much! I am not classically trained and have never even had an actual guitar lesson. I just noticed that's how a few of my favorite guitarists practice/play and I found it to be the best for me. It is also nice because it sets my wrist at the perfect natural position (for me) for alternate picking and my left hand has full access across the neck.
