I'm from WI and a Packer fan 100%. I grew up with Favre in the team. But with all the drama..agh...he deserves respect and he's gotten it for years. The retirement game that he played was ugly with the Packers, but I do believe the Packers did the right thing. The Pack moved on. The team has to, there's more to a team than the QB and the glitz and glammar of the media solely based on him. I stick to this belief even with a great QB like Aaron Rogers now. :)

What a bunch of haters!!! Favre made the game fun for everybody, despite the risks he took, but that was the thrill of watching him play, and that's the point that alot of you guys are missing!!! Yes, I'm a Packers fan, and I wish none of that drama happened between him and the team when he came out of retirement, but he will ALWAYS be a Green Bay Packer!!! Yeah Brady, Manning, and Roethlisberger are awesome, and I respect them greatly, but we'll never see a QB who made the game fun to watch!!

I've had a different feel about his leaving the Packers than say Reggie White did long ago. And when he took to the Vikings...always a Packer? Hmm. But I do agree ESPN goes way overboard, I can see how people could get mad at Favre because of the media's love for him. One note on the INTs- Favre actually has a really good TD-INT ratio, especially compared to guys like Namath, Unitas (only about 50 more tds than INTs, and Namath through more picks) and other big-time players. I'm really dreading the Manning coverage though... it's going to be awful.

I live in Wisconsin, and the whole summer before Favre left Green Bay was like every tv and radio station had become his very own 24/7 show. Man, our media sat and watched his Jeep one night (all night) only to report that they never saw him come out of the meeting and must've gotten a different ride home. Every program on tv got inturrupted with "breaking news" for this shit. He'd go on tv to cry and say he was reitring only to change his mind later that day. He does this almost every spring.
