Well it's the same location, I use Win7 Ultimate 64 bit now, it's exactly the same except it's in Program Files(x86)

Have you launched Gmod?

Sometimes the folder isn't created until the actual game is launched, it created itself for me straight away, but the Addons folder wasn't there, so I needed to launch.

If it still doesn't appear, try re-installing it.

cus i formated my computer (and i was such a fool to just formate the C harddrive) so my all my programs on my 2 harddisks are installed but i cant find them in my start-menu. therefor steam cant launch garrysmod (it sux) and when i try to redownload it from their webpage it says i allready got the game...-.-'

The .exe file should be in the garrysmod folder, the first one, not second. I'm on a different computer so I can't check, but if it's not there, you should contact Steam Support.

In your Steam Games list, there should be 3 menus (Depending if you use the 'Favorates' feature), which are Favorates, My Games and Not Installed. If Gmod isn't installed then it'll be in there, sometimes you'll have to open it up, if Gmod isn't in either of the 2/3 then you really should contact their support.

For some people it'll be under a different name, the names will either be Steam or ValVe, if it's not there then you need to contact Steam.

Have you just installed it onto your PC, if you have then you need to play it then it'll appear.

Main Gmod Folder is the one you go in after you go through the Steam Apps thing.

So once you go to Steam Apps, click garrysmod, then the next garrysmod folder you see is the main Gmod folder

I've no idea. Did you put it in the right folder. If it's a mod like PC mod, then you'll have to delete the other ones. Or you might have to read the read-me, if there isn't one with it, message the guy.
