  • See, 2:09 to prove it's a Mako...you can see the bottom of its pectoral fins are white...in contrast, ALL White sharks have black coloring on the bottom of their pectoral fins.

  • FUCK YOU DOLPHIN AND FUCK YOUW WHAAALLLLEEEE

  • ya jus because you live hawaii kai doesn't mean everyone is haole (white for you ignorant assholes) an maybe if you were actually KANAKA MAOLI (hawaiian for you ignorant mada fakas) an had aloha then maybe the REAL locals would talk to you, but you probably just another dumb haole

  • "wow i wish i had a joint now" haha classis local braddahs rite on mean fkn vid rollin da whole time

  • How the f did u reel in that marlin lol?!

  • Ohhh...at 2:14 the shark was looking at the camera man like "fakawot" hahaha. That video was mean.

  • "If I wasn't tired, I'd jump on da buggahs back but...ah maybe next time." Hahaha classic braddah classic.

  • " I'm tripping out bro" "look at that dorsel fin!"

  • comparing a great white to a mako is like comparing a 45 cal to a 9mm! da buggah still deadly no matta what, no can handle dis kine action

  • Thats a Mako Shark.

  • @zx7trev Check the eyes.

  • the best part is at 45 sec, is laugh is so funny, thumbs up if you agree ya, shootz.

  • Doesn't look that big, but still an awesome site

  • @0mac84 That's what she said :D

  • Ho dog that shit is massive

  • You're gonna need a bigger boat.

  • Whatever with the Pidgin. I use to have a thick accent when I was a teenager but locals can turn it on and off when need be. You out at the bar with friends or hangin with family it comes out but in a professional setting you can turn off if you like. I know engineers with master degrees that use pidgin at work. Besides, they fishing. I mean, there is a SHark on Screen folks. WHo fricken cares about the background noise. Its 2 friends talking stories. Nothing more.

    Anyway...HOLY SHIT SHARK!

  • These Mako sharks can get big in Hawaii. My uncle had one approach him and his dive partner off kiwalos. The thing circled them a few times while they were back to back. He got so scared he dodoed his pants and never dove again. It was a big one like that one. Maybe the same one but this wad over 10th years ago so prob not.

  • HOLLY FUCK?!?!?!? THATS ONE BIG MARLIN *____*

  • Just a note on people bashing the way others speak in their own place- Your idiots and I am thankful that people speak differently or we would live in one boring world! Think about that next time before you bash others! I still agree that it is a Mako, but a huge one! The coloring and the dorsal fin are consistent with a short fin mako, either way its freaking big and lucky to get such cool footage.

  • @frankcaronna I can agree, but it'd be "you're idiots" not "your idiots" lol sorry but the your/youre laziness mixup everyone does is freakin annoying

  • @frankcaronna That is most definitely a Great White, not a Mako.

  • 3D Innovations is a local Hawaiian company that has developed an Electronic Shark Defense System (ESDS) to help keep surfers, divers and all ocean enthusiasts safe while in the water. Check out our website for more information. We were also featured on KHON 2 and KHNL and have the news clips posted on YouTube.

  • Haters suck! I'm from NY and I thought this video was awesome. Visually and verbally. First off, these guys speak better English than half the idiots I come into contact with on a daily basis. I let my 4 year old Italian son watch this video (granted he picked up some bad words) but he loves it. It's absolutely awesome around the 2 min mark when that bad boy looks at the guy in the back of the boat and he freaks out.....Great Video man! What up my American Brothers?

  • Bad ass video...those other dudes below r jus a bunch of haters

  • All yu hauli fucks dat talkn smack can suck my big d*ck an lick my huge balls cause yu come hawaii an i garen t yu will get own by dis HAWAIIAN an any braddah down wen yu talk stupid so im jus sayin we not going jus watch yu talk shit we going react an yu dont wanna see dat BUMBAI PAU you NAI NAI aka ''sleep'' one to you braddaz good catch next catch da shark haha.

  • Straight moke style...spit and all!! Da part where he's talkin bout wish he had a joint is hilarious! Jus like hangin wit da boys from back home!! This is classic!

  • Quit dissing on the guys english. Pidgin is a real language of creole origin ask any expert in linguistics. Just because it's different than haole english, doesn't mean it's wrong or ignorant. It's one of the many things that make Hawaii unique. This video made me homesick for the islands.

  • I have to agreed with the others - definitely a mako not a great white. Lucky it didn't jump in the boat :)

Personally I'd be more worried about the tiger sharks around there.

  • @styrotech

you type like 1 haole from da mainland haha

  • @micsmellmyfart not even close brah

  • Hints, the fin is to sharp, then when it passes by the first time eyeing the guys it looks like a Mako and thats confirmed when it bites the motor later on. Also Make shark skin is more blue and kinda more shinny like a other fish whereas GWS skin is more grey/brown and more Matt.

  • I just got back from snorkeling 5 days in Maui. Glad I'm seeing this video after the fact!

  • Its a big Mako shark NOT a Great White Shark

  • i wish i could see d face of d hysterical bitch in this video next time leave him home

  • @80sbreaker fuckin hell TWO SEPERATE comments dissing this guy. YOUR the only 1 that sounds like a BITCH!!!!

  • The guy that says i wish i had a joint sounds like a hysterical bitch on crack tripping sad to go out fishing with a puss like that

  • @flipzakje dude, my country is spelled in my nickname hahaha :D then you must be American!

  • Bra mako or Gw Ainokea dat faka is big!! Should have jump in...na na na lol

  • Ho brah, this video is pretty sweet. The braddahs in this video are real funny, represent 808. But to everyone else, although people do come from Hawaii and do speak like this (I'm from Hawaii), does not mean we cannot use proper English. We are just comfortable speaking this way because it represents who we are and is a link to where, culturally, we have come from. So stop hating. BTW, I like the part where he was wishing for a joint an was like "Oh, I still get little bit" HAHA!

  • @sparkmagicdragon1 bro, im not from Hawaii, but I've lived here for 6 years now, I love hearing locals talk. I think it's important to have distinct accents or language. Hawaii Five O should take notes.

  • "We're going to need a bigger boat."

  • At 2:14 when the shark looks at the camera guy! Lol his reaction is hysterical. Funny stuff

  • This kine accent brah is hawaiian pidgin bruaah.

  • That's actually a big mako, not a GWS. Note conical dorsal and the pointier snout than a GWS. The dead give-away, however, is the cobalt blue coloration. Still an amazing observation and big speciman. Thanks for posting.

    -Eric

  • @whitesharkseeker

Agreed this is a Mako. I didn't know they got this big.

  • If anyone's interested, the largest of the Hawaiian shark gods, Ku-hai-moana (Ku-hei-moana), is described in great detail at Wikipedia, and other sources on the web. By the way, I'm 1/4 Hawaiian from both my parents, and we never spoke Pigeon English. Neither did any of my relatives, proving you CAN be REAL Hawaiians without speaking it. Pigeon is like Ebonics (East Bay/Oakland, Ca), it's a simple language practiced by simple people, and devoid of meaningful dissertation.

  • How high we're you guys?? Haha that's unreal brah that dorsal is massive

  • Nice video, awesome shark. But it's a mako not a great white. Still jealous you got to see one that up close and personal though.

  • sorry people, it is a mako.

  • Listening to them talk makes me miss home!

  • The shark is actually a Mako not a Great White

  • "I wish I had a joint now...oh I still get little bit" hahaha. CheeeHeee!!

  • That really looks like a Mako.

  • Deez fakaz trip bah

  • they shoulda THROWN THAT fish In ThE wAterr!!!

  • @grifter53 LOL oh, no way! throw away that much money for entertainment?! that marlin is big bucks!

  • @seven7wenty ha! but it woulda been awesome!!..i guess your right tho.

  • @grifter53 ahh nah just throw half inside. haha cheeee

  • @seven7wenty fa sho brah hahaha

  • Hawaiian dat is one great white... And it ain't no Maiko.. Hawaiian should of gave da shark his joint lol.

  • That kajiki going broke yu mouf'.

  • what accent this

  • HarryNpuss, brah u one expert?? I studied sharks for 15 years back home and all around da world. My specialty was Great Whites. THIS IS NOT A FAWKIN GREAT WHITE!!! Hate to burst u guys illusion! But jus like da Bigfoot hunters no can take No fo one ansah. Sheeeesh

  • 0:45 "tell me that's not a great white"- It's not, it is a mako. The snout and dorsal fin are giveaways. Also the fact that it was interested in the billfish is also another factor. Not that GWS wouldn't eat a billfish but for large makos it's their primary prey.

  • i just love all these "shark experts" commenting how it's not this, it's this or that.. brah you don't know so shut the hell up! vuefinder dat means you! dumb haole!

  • oooh shit, I'm surfin' near here in 3 weeks...oh well when your times up i suppose

  • im at the weird part of youtube... damnit!

  • I love the accent, they speaking pidgin. I love it.

  • ERAUsnow no one asked you!

  • Sorry guys, but it's not a great white. It's a Mako. Granted, a friggin HUGE Mako, but a Mako. The mouth and fins give it away. That sucker is easily 12 foot, close to 1000 pounds. That guy would cut someone in half without flinching.

  • Hilarious, dumb haoles neva know, eh?

  • Why do you LOSER lolo mahus kill Marlin? There is no need for it and they are endangered and a prized sport fish. People that commercial fish Marlin are ignorant jerkoffs. You have plenty of other fish you can harvest commercially in Hawaii without having to kill billfish. This is beyond disturbing that such morons area allowed to exist on this planet!

  • @tlabins What a fucking idiot. They arent commercial fishing. Your the fucking ignorant fuck who thinks they are.

  • @tlabins Would you care to elaborate as to how you know they were commercial fishing? Its not like trolling it only for commercial fishermen, its pretty common.

  • @tlabins go fuck yourself! jackass!

  • That is not a great white, that is a Mako shark. You can tell when it rolls as it goes by the motors. The great whites have black tips on the lower side of the pectoral fins and the makos are all white. Makos have almost no known attacks on humans.

  • Fuck that!! At 2:09 the Great White is like "Bitch, ill fuck you up."

  • Haoles shat up or caucasians you dont kno natin nocomehawaii

  • you guys are gonna need a bigger boat.

  • that shark was huge! I just like listening to ya giving the minute by minute! awesome

  • ho brah. da buggah wen stay so big.

  • He wants the marlin and was pissed you got it first. The tail is near the engines and he/she can likely smell it. Crazy scary video. Thanks for sharing.

  • Seeing a fin cutting through the surface of the water like that would be one of the scariest things ever. Damn you Jaws and your insistence that sharks eat pretty girls and people named Alex.

  • What kind of accent is that? Never heard it before.

  • @botoiching Hawaiian Pidgin

  • 1:31 "I wish i had a joint now" hahaha

  • Comment removed

  • But great video and great accents.

  • For the record, it's simple to tell that the shark is NOT a Great White, but rather a Mako,

  • Well unless its an adolescent great white I could definitely go with it being a mako, but not a tiger(no stripes)

  • Comment removed

  • That's not a Great White. Looks like a Maco or Tiger. You can tell by the eye.

  • so crazy!

  • Best part 2:10 XD

  • Ho brada'z...all i got to say is whoa. Good thing da boat was bigger den da shark. And yup da bugga was hungry foa stay around dat long. Great vid...one foa da books.

  • Whats crazy is thats probably a teenager! Great job Hawaii Boyz Aloha

  • Woah! I don't care what kinda shark it is, its big and menacing, and clearly wants its dinner back!

Stay safe on the water guys and mahalo for the vid.

  • This is a typical situation in which a SPAS 12 shotgun is the solution!

  • @BernatCroatia U must be asian..

  • Shark- "jump in 'brah' I dare ya"

  • @Johnzane - in Hawaii, that is. They make appearances, but they are still rare. Major attacks are from Tigers. Minor bites from many kinds.

  • @morecowbell69 Good to know these things before venturing too far out in those waters.
