he needs Gen Y's love. Esp. since we have the voting power and he's fucking us. There's the mandatory volunteer service after Obama passed the stimulus, voted for the bailout and ominubus that Gen Y will be paying off for the rest of our lives. I lost any respect for Jay Leno.

Yeah, also intresting that it was on a COMEDY show. The point is, Obama is in campaign mode, and that is distracting from the economy. He's supposed to be our president, not a celeberty. What would be relieving is if Timothy Giethner resigned or Obama actualy decreased spending.

Wasn't your party just last week proclaiming he has been doing too much? There's seems to be a fine line here to working over time and inadequately and Obama seems to have about zero elbow room. He went on Leno, joked a bit, and elaborated on some very relevant and necessary points to a broad American audience -- I don't see the problem. If he was taking George Bush-like vacation time, you'd have a point. But Obama has been an unmistakably productive president, regardless if you agree with him.

This wasn't a vacation, the fact is he's in campaign mode. He may be governing fast but who's really passing these bills is Nancy Pelosi.

It was Bush's spending and decreasing spending that helped get us into this.
Not lack of regulation, it was Clinton who made the regulation that Banks had to give out loans to people who couldn't pay them back.

The bipartisan national congressional budget office says that the deficit will go above 1 trillion rising from Bush's record deficit. Yes, he spent like a drunken democrat, so I just critisized him for it.

A) You aren't writing in English. I don't know what "Bush's spending and decreasing spending" means,"princibles" is a hilarious 1st grade rendition of a word, clinton didn't "make regulation" he passed the deregulation bill... complete opposites.
B) Deregulation did get us into this mess and if you don't recall both parties were responsible for the advocation of the bill. This is everyone's fault.

B) President Hoover did about what Bush did, and Roosevelt did the new deal which worsened and lengthened the depression.

D) I do believe it was the Republicans who said we should reverse it two years ago and the democrats stopped it, and got defensive over it. And Bwany Fwank was in charge.

God you're an absolute imbecile. The primary cause of this recession was irresponsible subprime mortgage lending. The government didn't COERCE the adjustable rate, absurdly low interest lending; but the government also didn't prevent or intervene in said irresponsible lending.
So yes it was largely in part due to deregulation and giving wall street excessive freedoms. The fact that you lay the entire blame on the government for the recession, AND NONE OF IT ON CORPORATE GREED, is pure rubbish.

Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) passed in 1977 by Jimmy Carter. Goal was to "encourage" banks "to help meet the credit needs of local communities."
In 1995 Clinton added to this act. Liebowitz of the New York Post said it, "required banks to find ways to provide mortgages to their poorer communities. It also let community activists intervene at yearly bank reviews, shaking banks down for large pots of money."
That would be government regulation, moron.

The criticism against Obama is that his agenda grows government and the deficit to unpredented levels, not that President Obama is working too hard - because he isn't.
For example, the 18 top positions in the Treasury Dept remain unfilled. We're in the middle of a financial crisis and there is only one top person at Treasury, and he's a tax cheat responsible for the AIG bailout.

Interesting how this appearance was a "distraction" to the economy when the nature of the segment was entirely recession, belt-tightening mantra. It was, if anything, too focused on the ailing economy. It was actually relieving to hear him for once deviate from the depressive state we all know we're in. The rest of your banter is completely null because your premise of a "distraction" was exactly the antonym of that.
