  • I lived near this fort when I was a kid. My mother was in one of the jail cells and heard breathing. Only other person in the room was my dad and it wasn't him.

  • The "unexplained growl" sounds like a frog. Apparently there are plenty of frogs in the area surrounding the fort at night. Love the show for entertainment value though

  • One of the previous episodes(Don't remember which one) they saw a lantern doing the exact same thing out in some graveyard field.

  • one of the growles sounded like a door creaking open

  • do they sleep inside the lockdown or somethin

  • @bratzRawsome12312 hahaha no they don't. They're up all night :)

  • @DutchLoyal thanks

  • @bratzRawsome12312 Well in one episode, the went to a hotel and slepp there for one night and they caught sme thing but i dont remember the name of the episode

  • Growl sound it seems sounds like JU-ON the Movie!!!

    errrrkroookkkk!! O.O! HELP ME!

  • damn the scary hand at 1:46!!!!!!! it always makes me jump!

  • @soulfulandhopeful that baby doll makes me jump O.o

  • I love you NICK GROFF!!.. damn you critics!

  • ähm..sry, but..how can ghosts know the word 'camera' when they died in about 1600?

  • @anjaXDcrazy you'll be surprised! Remember that they are haunting there for all that time, with people coming there...trust me, they pick it up really fast!

  • @DutchLoyal idk...when you're used to your era, its hard to understand the future, especially when you're always staying in an uncivilized area that hasn't developed itself since the 1600s...the only thing they see (If they were even real in the first place =/) would be travelers and tourists...they have no idea in hell what a camera is even if they saw it.

  • @BlackHawkGaming it doesn't matter. Spirits are much smarter than you think. And I can't explain it, no one can. But think about it: loads of people come there, they have camera's and all, they hear the words, and they can link it. It's the same with spirits in another country. They might not have spoken English, when they are dead, they can! There is so much we don't understand from that world, I doubt anyone will ever have an explanation for it.

  • @anjaXDcrazy hahaha.. yeah, that's kinda confusing.. "camera".. i was already convinced when that device said "pray".. then i heard "camera". hahahahaha

  • @anjaXDcrazy and @DutchLoyal Not only that, but many people believe that after death all mysteries are explained. Put that together with barriers created by the limits of seperate generations being lifted after death then you find little noncomprehensions like lack of knowledge of languages become known also.

  • @anjaXDcrazy EXACTLY!!! =D

  • Camera's were not invented in the 17 hundreds, so how would a spirit from then know what it is?

  • I want Zak's hat.

  • The reveal about the flint catching a light and the lights flashing in the area where the cannons are set didn't convince me. I believe that it was not lightning, but that flickering light that appeared to be a flint-lit lantern could have been a street light or a nearby security light coming on. There are shops and other buildings all around that Castillo. The light hitting only where the cannons were and not above them could have been from a ship in the bay with a searchlight on.

  • One more thing: The gift shop employees told us that they often open the shop in the morning and find things re-arranged and in disarray. The shop is always locked as it was the night before when they left and the alarms are still set. I don't remember if they said anything about the security cameras catching anything.

  • I was in the Castillo San Marco in February of 2010. Near where the soldiers dormitory is was a room that was hot. Even though it's Florida, it was February and it wasn't hot outside (60s and 70s for highs). That one room was noticably hotter than all other rooms in the Castillo. The employees told us that the room was always hot year-round and nobody has been able to figure out why. I mean, this room was at least 20 degree hotter than the other rooms (which were all about the same temp).

  • When I said earlier that the English were colonists in the general area, I meant that they were as close as Georgia, which was one of the 13 colonies. Also, the English tried several times to take St. Augustine. Considering all that, and considering the history between the Spanish and the English, it's not hard to believe that at least some of the military in St. Augustine even centuries ago would know English.

  • One thing to keep in mind when thinking about the language: The English were colonists in the general area at the same time, and the Spanish and English interacted (fought more than anything else) all the time. Many English people knew Spanish and vice-versa. So it's possible that some of the soldiers on both sides were bi-lingual and knew the other's language well. Especially the ranking officers.

  • Divide most not turn camera?

  • @Princessriba - I thought it said Divide - Post - Not - Turn - Camera. Considering the strange light footage was upstairs perhaps it was a reference to the guards post? As in night guards of the fort walking the perimeter, and it was still thinking it was guarding the fort and saying to divide shifts for the post as it wasn't its turn?! Maybe the camera reference was it suggesting to put the static camera there as it knew it would catch the guard with the light walking by?

    Sounds crazy though.

  • 4:27 HULK SMASH!

  • wow they are so brave i would be realllly scared to do this but i bet its really cool and i also wonder how it feels to be in the same room communicating with a spirit

  • Man I wanna go there!

  • @xosammiebabexo I've been to this fort and Moon River Brewery which is also in season 2. I have to be honest... The show is entertaining, but they are able to make places look a million times more scary than they are. We were disappointed by the Fort and it was one of the biggest let down's of our trip to St. Augustine.

  • We just finish watching this episode and my lil sister went there for a field trip she told me all her classmates got pushed in the cannon room except her, but I think it just cause she was the only person there that was spanish. ^_^ Plus she said she saw something in the room the psychic got attacked in and so did her friend. *o*

  • yeah... I went there the other day and i got to go in the watch tower....

  • How on earth would a spirit from the 17th-18th centuries know what a camera is?!

  • @Willawick if the spirits are intelligent, they might, I mean there have been spirits from a long time ago that cuss at people, intelligent spirits can catch onto those things.

  • @DutchLoyal That's a good point. I wonder though, if the spirits they had been speaking to were English victims or Spanish soldiers...because one would think that Spanish soldiers wouldn't be able to manipulate an English vocabulary very well. Of course then one wonders if spirits can learn to speak new languages by being exposed to them by the living. ^_^ Thanks for the comment back, I love this show...I just like to think critically.

  • @Willawick well I don't really know...never asked one hahaha lol. I would love to know that myself. English is seen as the "universal" language so maybe spirits can adapt to it...no clue haha.

But I like to think critically too, I think that makes it even more interesting :D

  • @DutchLoyal

i think that machine measures the precise levels of ENERGY rather than the spirit actually saying the words. and energy doesnt have language.

  • @TheSlidingsideways that's right. Every word in the database has a different energy level, the spirits can manipulate it, they "give" the energy of a particular word and then the machine spits it out :)

  • @Willawick Well it's probably an intelligent spirit, and one would think an intelligent spirit would still be able to learn because it can obviously 'see' and interact with people and maybe learn from them by extension? I duuno lol

  • @Willawick 1st complete camera has been invented in 1685 ! :)

  • For the real taste of GA.. i say "only Dutch Loyal" thanks a lot man!!

  • @drShams1987 can't believe I never saw this comment! So sorry. But thanks heaps ;) glad you like it!

  • i dont get why they dont use that thingy where it translates spirits talking to human digital voice more often :S

that's the equipment i love to see them use D:

  • O.o Scary!
