  • and is that a badass piano tone - part of c coulters palettte, incl esoteric items like the coul-tron

  • Man, what a find. A friend and fellow Tower of Power (inc Ronnie Beck) groupie gave me a tape in the '70's with a nameless killer player/singer -- never found out til 3 yrs ago who it was, courtesy Pete Fallico on KUSP. Got the Blue Monday CD, saw the Man in SJ, sure don't want to miss him if he's ever back visiting -- any email lists out there? What an unassuming guy.

  • hope to meet you soon i am in thailand ..I am a keyboard player and friend of walter ,producer in thailand ..great playing !!

  • The one you really want to check out is "Do It Now, Worry About It Later" which featured horns from the Basie band with funky players like electric bassist Jimmy Calhoun and a politically incorrect cover of a black guy kicking a white cop in the ass while he ticketed a car. I was working in CA in the early 70's and Clifford Coulter was a name we all mentioned with awe and respect--he was taking funk and r&b influenced jazz into the left lane and influenced Sly and many others--Is he still alive?

  • My Friends Pops singing with Cliff Coulter.

Her Dad is off the hook in person.

    Thanks Tee & Mr. Willis

  • Absolutley outstanding. Any fans of classic seventies R'n'b may want to check the Clifford Coulter LP 'The Better part of me' featuring the classic 'Love's too hot to hide'. Supoirb!
