uuhhhhmmmm 12v amp = 12 power plug? like if its 12v why not just wire it to a wall plug in? like get a heavy duty (12v+ capacity) extention cord and split it?
if i where you for ur amps sake id put a nice deep cycle battery in paraleel with the bat charger cause the power from the chrager isnt realy clean voltage and could damage ur amp the battery will act as a buffer for the voltage from the charger and make it safer to use
i have the same subs and amp in this video. my question is can u do this without the battery tender? cause i have my ps3 and surround wired into my tv via HDMI cables so everything works there, then just regular speaker wire to my subs for now, no power to the amp. please 'message' me asap and let me know if its possible. thanks
Pyramid PSV-300 benchtop switching power supply 13.8V @ 30Amperes. All u need to run ur amp in home. Check my channel i have a vid up of it working. No bs
Wow don't not use a battery charger for powering an amp, there's a reason why its called a battery charger. Proper way is either a Ham Radio AMP or computer power supply.
Cerato does great jobs at doing this type of stuff.. right now he is in Basic Training in the National Guard! =D buttt if you wanna see who he hangs out with when he gets back check out our channel and Vids....
:D Thats idiotic. There is no battery charger that can supply power to any quality car sub. You will only damage your speakers and break your amplifier. That could work with 60W amp but thats max and cant power any kind of subs without breaking them :O
Yes you can run any driver with low enought volume but that is just ridiculous.
@JinXedoO who's going to take your opinion seriously with nothing but video games on your channel you dope.
Post some videos of electrical engineering before you tell ANYONE to go back to school. You can't troll people if you don't know what you're talking about because anyone else who has done this stuff will know you're spouting crap. How you got four thumbs up is beyond me.
@josh053 :D wtf do i care what do you think.. anyone who knows how car amps work and has basic knowledge of electronics and batteries knows that charging is low amp and "high" voltage. if he had a car battery in that circuit he could play for few hours and let it charge after.
"Inexpensive car battery chargers are usually "trickle-type," which plug into household receptacles and produce 2 amps"
Which means around 24W of power. do some research please.
@driftking11013 iirc that high input is for using the stock stereo to run an amp. sound wont come out because its an INPUT. you need to hook your speakers up to the speaker OUTPUT.
I did this but with a 12 volt 3.25 amp game cube charger and if I turn it up to high it cuts out or Gos into protect mode is the amps to low or something and my sub is a xplod 1200 and my amp is a xplode 1000 please help if u know what it could be
@GREENABBYBOO Watts = volts * amps so at 12v and 3.25A, you can power a whopping 39 watts. If you're lucky, your "1000 watt" amp is putting out 600 watts. So, you will need at least 50 amps of 12v DC current to power your amp. Obviously using a 3.25A power supply to a device drawing 50A isn't going to end well.
@Dawgkid133 It all depends on the output of your converter(transformer), ideally you would want it at 10amps or more but they start to get heavy duty after that. If I think I know what your talking about it is only going to have an output of around 2~3amps. If you have an old computer, use the power supply out of that, it should suit your needs very well as long as it has wattage of more than 300. Hope this helps
dude 320 am just seen yor video to figer my shit out i was tryin for a while but never connected ther 12v and other thing together and i blew my room up lmao
Battery charger, black goes to ur ground, red to 12 volt. A wire to ur 12 volt to ur switch. Boom, should be on. U could get a RCA cable that has one side RCA and the other headphone jack so u could plug ur RCA into ur input on ur amp and plug an iPod into, then just run wires to ur sub or subs.
@lorenzoruchtie i no way caz you amp is pulling to much if he got what my brother got the amp is only 300WATTS rms i think so its not pulling that much power
@DragonWagon6 YES AMPLIFIERS HAVE BREAKERS INSIDE OF THEM... DONT FUCKING ARGUE.... WHEN AN AMP GETS TO HOT OR SHORTS OUT PAST THE FUSE IT WILL SHUT OFF AND COME BACK ON WHEN YOU RESET IT GOOGLE IT!!! Ive been doing car audio and Mechanics for over 10 years bud!
@DragonWagon6 Your fucking dumb. "FUSE" Amplifiers for cars also have what they call "BEAKERS" inside of them so if anything happen's if the Fuse dont blow the breaker trips automatically and comes back on when you stop current flow to the Hot side of the Amplifier...
hello um i have a 800 w amplifyer and i rlly need to know what type of pcu i should buy so i can blast it it says i sould set a fuse between the batery to the amp fuse recomended (40 amps) so i dont want to buy a psu wait 3 weeks and it justs shut of when i try to blast it pleas reply
(im currently using a 300 watt psu now but i want more power to the amp)
@mrzquer all u have to do is buy a pcu or look at a old pc the u don't use any more and the take it out and use that that is what I did I am just try to help u out seems u wanted to know
man, you are killing your cell phone because of the magnetic field outputs from the sub. Oh well, i guess samsung cell phones are quality after all :)
@j4ym4t16 the high input wires on a amp jst hook up to your speaker wire that are hooked up to ur stereo, i have a amp hooked up to my stereo but i only use it to power my led light hah
@copaair i meant like a charger that you plug in to the wall almost like a phone charger or so but have a 12 volt output so i can splice the ends of the wire and use as power
@2013pitbull Actually, it can. The remote is only supposed to pic up a minuscule amount of power, just enough to tell it that the cd player is ready. If you have it hooked up directly to the 12v source on the amp, it can possible damage it because it isn't meant to hold that much power.
@watchyourback12 any kind of charger could work as long as theres a - and a + wire, but battery chargers are the best even a small 1A charger tht u can buy for $10 will work but it wont push out alot but it will still power a cd deck with amp and subs you just cant turn it up high or it cuts out

@MRklica hey it will work i guess i have a 12v 300ma and that works just run a lil wire like he did to your remote and hook pos to the bat and the neg to the ground i haven't got mine all figured out though i actually just did it tonight so i need to work out some bugs....
@fraction360 ... ( 1 RCA cable has 2 lil cabels in side . 1 isolated 1 not :D , the one what's is isolated is Pos , and the the non isolated is neg :D xD
@fraction360 well if u have a black and a red cable there then use those .. or if u have only 1 end comming out of the rca cable (what cannot be true ) then use Electric cabels or any other cables
so how could i hook regular speakers up to this im not dumb u just didnt go over it all that well lol

carl313313 1 year ago
@carl313313 how lol, its so confusing to tell what is neg and pos
fraction360 1 year ago
@fraction360 ... ( 1 RCA cable has 2 lil cabels in side . 1 isolated 1 not :D , the one what's is isolated is Pos , and the the non isolated is neg :D xD
carl313313 1 year ago
@carl313313 mine doesn't have 1 isolated and 1 is that is not lol, its all together
fraction360 1 year ago
@fraction360 well if u have a black and a red cable there then use those .. or if u have only 1 end comming out of the rca cable (what cannot be true ) then use Electric cabels or any other cables
carl313313 1 year ago
I did this crap when i was 9 and i found out back then that a battery charger doe's not have enough output to run anything properly.
