My Father-In-Law, Anthony Facciuto played trumpet with Perez Prado. My Niece found the album in an old record store. He is playing "Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom" on the trumpet. She gave it to her Mother for her birthday. His name was on the album which I thougt was so cool. He passed away at a very young age of 35 of renal failure. My husband remembers him sitting in his favorite chair practicing on the trumpet in the living room. It is incased above the piano in his sisters home now.

Verdad que tocan muy bonito los musicos Mexicanos?!....Para los que lo ignoran...o para los que quieran tapar el sol con un dedo: Perez Prado NUNCA tuvo musicos Cubanos: no confiaba en ellos por su estilo corriente-escandaloso; eso no lo invente yo, lo dijo el mismo en mas de una ocasion. No podia confiar en fiesteros, desobligados y con tendencias a los vicios. Tambien otro que se reuso a usar los servicios de Cubanos fue "El rey del Danzon" Acerino: puro musico Mexicano empleaba....

It became famous for the excellent trumpet solo and the unique arrangement. here it is performed by Perez Prado and not by Xavier Cugat.
