  • Danne9000 is an entrepreneur. he swallows jizz in back allies for beer money

  • I just dont understand liberals.....

  • That's fucked up!

  • the whole system is to blame

  • But Eric Wilkinson is right on one thing, its the whole political system at fault, the crook speaks the truth. Let a crook into your house give em the keys , the codes to your safe , lead em to your bedroom and your naked wife shure as f that its your fault(presidents and parlament represent the house and they do all this)

  • whats with the subtitles, who screwed up the subtitles? if your deaf the subtitles are wrong

  • why does cenk talk in that voice when reading quotes lol

  • And for pete's sake, forget about the "must have" gift for Christmas, and just get somthing personal, instead.

It's just a trick that big buisnesses use to make money off of sheep.

Instead of an X-box, get your kid the complete set of Harry Potter novels, or a new bike.

Instead of an electronic gizmo, get your spouse a gift-certificate to a spa, or two-tickets to see a concert together or somthing like that.

Seriously, does anyone even remember what the "must have" gifts were last year?

  • If you want to take power away from the rich, then just suck it up, and stop buying from their companies.

Take your money out of big banks like Chase, and put them in small, local banks.

Stop buying from chains like Wal-Mart, Starbucks, Home-Depot, Target, GAP,...ect, and do your shopping at small, locally-owned buisinesses instead.

Buy U.S.-made products, instead of "bargins", and buy your groceries from farmers' markets.

Go to a play or a zoo, instead of a movie.

    Stop whining, and act.

  • dammit im in the 99 percent but Im not that bad off and I appreciate what I have and am ery thankful :)

  • I just had a thought. Bikers wear a 1% patch to distinguish themselves as the 1% who choose to live outside of the law.

I wonder if they will now stop wearing it as it is embarrassing to be associated with scum like bankers and politicians.

  • First of all - Eric had a point... What does the trader Eric Wilkinson have to do with the bailouts that big corporations received? Not every trader makes their money the same way. What type of trader is this Eric guy. Please be less vague.

Also, are you seriously quoting what a person tweeted about what he heard on an elevator? That is about the lamest resource I can imagine. Stop ranting about things just to stir folks up. You should be embarrassed for stooping so low.

  • Cink. We are using hear say as investigative journalism? Cink you had a problem with traders before the bailout! Also if you trade a stock that you've owned for less than a year you pay 28% federal tax on it. You want their money plan and simple. You Cink are in the top 1% so stop hating yourself.

  • One and a half trillion dollars plus interest.

  • Why do liberals feel entitled to other people's money?

  • @MrFreeCookie i ask myself the same thing about the wall street bankers.

  • @Woodawesome So if you were the CEO of a major investment firm and had the opportunity to make literally millions of dollars with no strings/consequences attach you would refuse that?

Who was it that gave away all the taxpayer's money? Oh riiight it was the government if I remember correctly...

Banks don't have the power to rob a nation only the government has that ability. The bankers are utter scum no doubt, but they are nothing without the government.

  • @MrFreeCookie agreed.... i dont think we're opposing each other here.

  • Assuming your numbers are correct, why should we tax someone more because they hold more wealth? (Unless they are somehow using more public resources because of their wealth) Why should the government (or "we") be able to take it? Because we need it?

+ We are talking about an income tax here right? Not a "wealth" tax.

Lastly, raise the minimum wage and you'd better believe I'll be hiring less people next year. The Fed, lobbyists and out of control spending are the real enemy.

  • @voltar99 - You answered your question - they use far more government resources than the average person. Rich people do pay other taxes than just the federal and state income tax but the only other tax that pays as much of US tax revenue as the income tax is the payroll tax. Corporate taxes, dividend taxes and capital gains taxes pay less than 15-20% of the government's total tax revenue.

"I'll be hiring less people next year"

I can't speak for you but most businesses don't hire less.

  • Top 1% earn 20.3% of the total income and pay 21.5 % of all federal and state taxes. (according to the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy.) They also pay a higher percent of their income in taxes. The only solid argument against the 1% is their political influence. That needs to stop.

  • @voltar99 - The top 1% hold closer to 30% of the nation's total wealth (not just counting income). The middle-class holds less than 15% of the nation's wealth but pays 2/3 of all federal and state taxes. Part of the reason the top 1%'s income and wealth has grown is because the bottom 95%'s wages are beind held steady (or even decreasing adjusted for inflation and cost of living increases) so the top 2% can get richer. There is no reason our wages shouldn't have grown.

  • @voltar99 - They've partially gotten rich by keeping everyone else's wages down, increasing their own salaries each year, shipping jobs overseas (while not lowering selling prices) and gambling with other people's money (getting rich off of capital gains and dividends).

There is no reason at all to feel sorry for the rich. No one's being unfair to them, if anything the public is being WAY too soft on them. The OWS people aren't even demanding their money back from the bailouts.

  • @A86 "They've partially gotten rich by keeping everyone else's wages down" Exactly how are they doing that?

"There is no reason at all to feel sorry for the rich." Who is feeling sorry for the rich?

"No one's being unfair to them, if anything the public is being WAY too soft on them". I agree that we are WAY too soft on the large companies and individuals that wield political power through lobbyists -or government agencies that take our money unconstitutionally through force.

  • @voltar99 - Part of the reason is because when wages are higher people tend to have lower turnover rates (less likely to leave the job at the drop of a hat since it pays well) and demand goes up (people have more disposable income to burn). Increased demand = a need for increased production. This can offset the increase in production costs in the form of economies of scale or the need for greater supply (and the benefits of supplying that demand) being greater than the increased cost.

  • @MultiFreeatLast They pay tax on profits... which can be seen as income, same goes for you. I find it highly amusing that some people actually consider taxes as stealing. It funds almost everything in a society to some extent, and without it you wouldn't have an army. Oh and infrastructure and health care etc would be much worse. I think you're able to spare a few % of your "hard earned dollars".

  • it sounds like the bankers in this video are befuddled at the fact that they are being protested against when they had assumed the people would protest the government. It seems like they underestimated the American people's general intelligence, and assumed that, rather than take out the top dog at the chain of command, the American people would take out the whipping boy (the government). Fortunately, propaganda has not caught everyone.

  • @pigeonmaster1 Bull.

  • 3:07 - 3:27 .. -_- shut up

  • this guy fucking annoys me

  • @theAbeElement you gotta get past your own issues with him. he brings real news and real ideas up front.

  • Most Americans are in the top 1% compared to the rest of the world.

  • Wait, so the OWS protesters don't have a sence of entitlement by wanting free higher education?

  • @ILikeMeProductions

You don't see how higher education would help our society? How does manipulating the system to get billions of taxpayer dollars help our society?

  • @caposton

No, I am in full suport of higher education. But I'm also in suport of getting the government to fuck off. The last thing we need is government gaurentied college loans.

  • @caposton higher education led to block wall street!

  • its all about cash @Fix_America_Now

  • its all about cash

  • Erik Wilkinson is right

  • PEOPLE RISE UP AND SAY "WE ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE". LOOK! PROTESTING WORKED REMOVING DICTATORS!!!!!!!! TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK!!!

  • Funny... I know Cenk says "traders", but I keep hearing "traitors"... Must be a reverse freudian slip...

  • i'm actually top 4percent

  • A real man would drag you out of your Benz and give it to someone who cant afford a new car..

  • @20thcentfox I'll learn to spell perfect english, which is my third language, when you write and speak english french and dutch. stop being a dick already

  • @20thcentfox Well hey there angry person, didn't you already reply to this, and i replied to that?

Now you're just trying to win the argument. Maybe you should put your effort debating with the right wing radicals in your country. But no you're getting your e-boner on. Ok i'll be an ass to.

You said ALL traders should be put into jail. Well that's kind of radical isn't it? kind of over the top, no? Stop fucking wasting your time on someone who agrees 99% with you douchebag

  • @20thcentfox that's true. I think we agree on the most important part; what has to change.

  • @20thcentfox People will debate that what you call corrupt isn't corrupt because it isn't milking the system in their opinion. I know what corruptuion means, but they aren't bending anny rules, the rules blatantly say you can donate to politicians. This all started about TRADERS. you said tha TRADERS should be put in jail. and i disagreed. the traders didn't corrupt jack shit, the politicians did. So we agree on the politicians being corrupt, the traders were a bunch of opportunistic assholes.

  • @20thcentfox morality is subjective so your argument is invalid. laws are laws.

  • A business a business unless they have customers. If there are no customers then what will these businesses have?

  • Oh lord, the subtitles! So inaccurate!!!

  • The Young TURDS should call themselves the Young SOCIALISTS.

  • @Bellita1 look up on wikipedia what socialism means turd

  • @Guitarvirtuoso666 I know exactly what it means and I am against it. It is basicly greating a hammock for losers to rest in while the government steals the money from hard working people.

  • @Bellita1

percentages of people without jobs are about equal in so called socialist countries than they are in the US.

the gap between rich and poor is just smaller, great thing isn't it?

  • @Guitarvirtuoso666 So socialism doesnt' work either.

  • @Bellita1

it does because people arent starving or dying when they get sick

  • @Guitarvirtuoso666 Yeah if you call waiting in line all day to see a 3rd rate doctor. I like my health care to be immediate and not rationed.

  • @Bellita1

this proves that you know nothing about socialism, and that you have never been to a country with a social democratic government;)

  • @Guitarvirtuoso666 I have been to plenty of socialist countires. Socialized medicine sucks. My wife is from Costa Rica one of the countries that the Demmies always say is a great place for healthcare. She has compared the two adn said Costa Rica healthcare sucks. You aren't from the US so stay the fuck out of US politics. If people like socialism, they should move to a socialist country.

  • @Bellita1

costa rica, of course costa rica sucks haha, perhaps you should try out denmark or the netherlands;)

  • @Guitarvirtuoso666 Yeah they have the miracle drug Marijuana which cures Cancer, Alzheimer and every other aliment known to man. Who knew 1 drug cures everything. hahahahahaha

  • @Bellita1 You're making yourself sound really fucking stupid (Pardon the language). Denmark does not allow marijuana, quite the contrary. Weed, as you know does not cure either of those things, they do on the other ha ndmake life easier for certain people with diseases, for example migraine.

Health Care in the Scandinavian nations are quite good and free for everyone, that's what you should compare with, not Costa Rica.

  • @Danne9000 I know weed doesn't cure any of those things. That is what I am complaining about. People are getting medical Marijuana perscriptions for bunions on their feet. Michael Whore and others claim Costa Rica has the best health care in the world.

  • @Bellita1

So where do you live? Because in the US, health care isn't immediate, nor is it rationed.

    Doctors = long wait

    ER = longer wait

The rate (quality) of doctors wouldn't change at all, as there are a set amount of doctors in existence and these doctors wouldn't suddenly get worse or better by ink falling on paper.

Sounds like you have been misinformed by conservative propaganda. I'd be surprised if you knew what "rationed health care" even meant. What does it mean? Please explain to us.

  • @spunxz11

Er correction, it IS rationed in the US. Conservative propaganda tries to scare you saying it will BECOME rationed...but they neglect to inform you they're lying, because it is ALREADY rationed.

Look up "Healthcare rationing in the United States" or wikipedia it.

  • @spunxz11 I broke my arm in 10 places 2 months ago and I was treated immediately. I didn't have to wait at all, I went straight to the ER and straight into surgery. I am glad I was in the USA. My wife told me that in Costa Rica she has seen people wait days to be treated for broken bones. Funny how Michael Whore things their health care is great. The only thing great about socialized medicine is you have someone else paying for your care.

  • @Guitarvirtuoso666 Well it's 9% in USA and 6,8% in Sweden. Which isn't really that equal, another thing worth noting is that most of them quite a bit of financial aid from the government. Yes, the gap is smaller... Remind me again how that's bad?

  • The top 1% are the people who I give a fuck what they have to say. The rest of you fuckwits, not so much.

  • This is what republicans in general don't get. We really don't care that you make a lot of money and that you went to a good school and have become successful. Its the fact that you have to payoff politicians and everything in life is favored for you and the rest of the country really doesn't stand a chance.

  • How could you overlook these outrageous facts? Wall St. better be scared as hell. They're on thin ice.

  • join the 99% at occupythewhitehouse . net

  • @20thcentfox it's NOT corruption since it's legal. And offcourse another party matters, how democratic is it really when you have 2 options. That's like saying having the options of cheese or nutella on your sandwich is an all you can eat buffet

  • End Crony Capitalism...Vote Ron Paul 2012

  • TheYoungTurks and RussiaToday: only real media outlets out there

Except if it's about Russia, then it's just TheYoungTurks

  • is this supposed to be a comedy? because i really cant take him seriously

  • Ezekiel 7:19 read it. Keep thinking that you will have pay increases and bonuses you rich 1%.

  • The 1% are the servants to the .00001%, the 13 families at the top of the pyramid.

  • I wonder what would happen if the protesters turned angry and ripped these fuckers to shreds one morning as they arrived to 'work'. Who would cry for them? Alternatively. is there some way to identify the ones that have received bonuses and 'out' them? Make then feel some public shame? Force them to make reparation - personally?

  • wealth should be earned by the sweat on ones brow. this country is too far gone, revolution will happen with the next economic collapse, and re-education through labor is in order for these top wealth holders.

  • Just think, 1.4 trillion would give every man woman and child in the country nearly 4.4 thousand dollars...

  • Id be willing to put a bet that the entire 1% never had to suffer like we do, ever.. they were rich from birth.

  • @odom602 Yes, money solves every little fucking problem in the world. Every single bloody problem you've ever had in your life was due to not having enough cash... Correct? I thought not. I doubt that they were rich from birth, sure, some were but far from everyone. The thing is, money doesn't solve anything at all really, you'll still have the same problems, if not even more problems if you're rich. So stop being so narrow minded.

  • @Danne9000 I'm not saying that money solves every problem, but 98% of them are solved with money, 98% that the 1% don't face.

  • @odom602 98% of all problems one has, has to do with money? I'd say 98% of all problems one encounter has nothing to do with money really.

  • @Danne9000 no, I said 98% of all problems I have has to do with money, you see once you grow up and live on your own, you encounter things called bills, no money? no roof. that seems like a problem to me...

  • they need to change it to "we are the 99.99999%" "fight against the 0.00001%"

  • If only V(v for vendetta) was a real person, he would handle these pieces of shit while they slept.

  • Corporations are ARTIFICIAL men, not real men.

  • Why do poor people not deserve their money? Why is it only the rich who deserve their money? Why do some deserve more than others at all? Our society is SO fucked.

  • @Jex134 For obvious reasons, a three year old would figure it out.

  • The consistent problem I keep hearing again and again is that some people don't see how earning every penny they get can't be "earned."

  • Loving the Aussie home loan add right before this video..

  • Cut the theatrics Cenk & just give the quotes with a simple commentary. You aren't a good enough actor to pull of the snobbery of a snob.

We are going to take solace in the fact when the 1% succeeds in destroying the commerce among the 99%, the 1% will nave a slow death. The capitalist will kill of the USA, not communist, or socialists. The last person standing will still be blaming everyone, but themself.

  • @ObowMao666

Right, some Communist country this is turning out to be. They even have news networks banning the mention of the problems of Communism to hide the tru- oh wait, that has never happened. lol.

  • simple we need to take back our country. And get rid of all the thiefs, murderers, and controlling elite asses. The point will never be made argueing point for point simple to solve take back our country.

  • Really? Using anonymous sources to back up political points? I don't like it.

Still, I imagine someone said this at some point.

  • Ladies and gentlemen, we are no longer a constitutional republic, we are a banana republic. We are a kleptocracy. Our "elected" officials are in bed with corporate and financial institutions and work in tandum to rape and pillage the citizenry. We allowed this to come to pass, because we were not vigilant of our government and we let them run rough shod over our rights. Things are coming to a head, protests, while inspiring will have no effect. The country is to far gone for that now.

  • Im glad Cenk actually made a good effort to clarify who makes up the 1% or "the rich." It gets irritating hearing "them" or "they" every day without specification. And Cenk, as much as I share your hatred for Wall Street corruption, just remember they didn't "take" our money. "Take" implies the giver didn't want to relinquish. The giver (gov't) gave it to them. How did the gov't get our money? Well, they took it.

  • @redcups21

To say that the government took our money and gave it to wall street implies that the government is not wall street. Geithner? Paulson? Rubin? All directly from Goldman. Plus where do you think the politicians in washington (Obama absolutely included) get the money they need to get re-elected? They don't bite the hand that feeds them.

  • @newdimensionfilms Lol, good point. It is fair to say that gov't and the corporation are just two sides of the same coin these days. Unfortunately where I and progressives disagree is that gov't power and corporate power are not inversely proportional. They are simply proportional.

  • Really? A Benz? I dont even own a car but I'm not easily impressed by a Mercedez. Wow, you own Germany's version of the Ford Focus.

  • If you live in this society, then you should pay into this society at the same rate as everyone else.

  • If it was "Capitalism" the government should have sold you those loans at the same interest rates the big banks loan money to people, what is it now 33% interest rate? And if the banks couldn't pay it back?

We'll we the People would just sale off your assets to get our money back. Oh but none of that happened did it? Without government bailouts 50% of those Wall Street brokers and bankers would be unemployed and broke. Most of their assets was in junk loans and stocks.

  • @ddnguyen278 Not sure if they would be broke, I think they save cash every now and then. I don't really get the hate for the banks bailouts, sure they messed up big fucking time, but really, blame either A) The rating corporations (i.e S&P etc) for giving CDO's AAA ratings, B) The goverment for not forbidding the sale of private loans as investments, or C) the chairmen of the respective banks for issuing it. If they wouldn't have been bailed out, everyone would be broke and unemployed, better?

  • "When I'm in office it's going to be just like the 80's. The top 10% will get richer and the other 90% can emigrate to Mexico where they can get a better life."

    -Senator McComb, Timecop

  • @tph2010 the funny thing is i've thought about moving to mexico, i think i could do well there if i learn Spanish. lol

  • Cenk your argument is illogical.

What percent of that top 1% took bail out money? A huge part of the top 1% and industrialists, tech wizards and other talented people who earned their money.

That banker is actually right... You should be protesting the Government for bailing out banks and asking the people to pay for it, not demonizing all the wealthy folks in the country for making money.

  • @jwar2002

Who paid the government to bail them out?

The same bankers you are defending.

  • Hearsay by anonymous twitter as a source?? lol.

  • Executive and traders earn salaries and bonuses - taxed as ordinary income (i.e. 35%). Dividends and capitals gains are made by shareholders... taxed at 15%, however inflation is not deducted from the total amount that gets taxed, so if a person makes 6% (last 10 years of the stock market is negative btw), and inflation is 3% (4% if you look at the full history of US inflation), then they're really only making 3% but taxed on 6%.

  • Only one problem I see no mention of the real 1 percent - the Rothschilds, the Rockefellers, the Carnegies, etc.

They gained control of our economy in Dec 1913. The final nail in the coffin was hammered in under Nixon in Aug 1971.

These families conspired to gain control over our economy from the time our nation was born.

Look at Alexander Hamilton, that is where it started, and finally succeeded. Check out the video series the Creature from Jekyll Island by G. Edward Griffin.

  • Cenk question for you. So what's the point in protesting rich people? These Occupy wall street protesters have it all wrong. They should be protesting the government for bailing out big banks with taxpayer money and being so corrupt that their controlled by corporate interest, not protesting rich people and demanding the government give them (the protesters) some of the rich people's money.

  • @jwar2002 The protesters aren't demanding that they get the rich people's money at all...They just don't believe that these people in the finance industry should be allowed to buy corporations that allow them to "legally" not their share of taxes and to "legally" get billions of free money from the government/taxpayers...

  • @nothlithawk777 My point is by protesting against the top 1% you're missing the source of the problem. Majority of the top 1% did NOT take bail out money so its pointless directing your anger about the bailouts at that 1%. If you're mad about the bailouts you should be protesting the government for being so corrupt and allowing itself to be owned by banking and corporate interests.

  • @jwar2002 "If you're mad about the bailouts you should be protesting the government for...allowing itself to be owned by banking and corporate interests" But that's exactly what they're protesting! They're not angry at the 1%.They're angry at corporate interests controlling the government.I agree that the messaging is confusing. However, the protest on Wall Street makes sense because of this nonsensical tax loophole that applies to people who make most/all of their money investing.

  • Cenk, your rich guy impression makes me laugh every time. keep up the good stuff lol

  • Who the hell is responsible for the annotation subtitles?

  • man how does a dude who plays around with rubber balls all day earn that much money? fuk the nba

  • @eight18 Its called talent... What do you suggest pay NBA players 50K a year? You can watch a highschool basketball game then

  • @jwar2002 TALENT? NO , TALENT IS SAVING PEOPLES LIVES, CREATING SPIRITUALLY ENHANCING MUSIC, EDUCATING CHILDREN , FARMING FOOD , ALL THOSE THINGS ARE USEFUL , PLAYING AROUND WITH BALLS LIKE SOME DUM LITTLE KID IS NOT, ITS A WASTE OF MONEY , ALL THAT MONEY COULD GO INTO HELP REAL TALENTED PEOPLE REFINE THEIR ARTS AND HELP OUT THE WORLD

  • Rich man, rich man, tell me why -- why do you have to have more and more?

    What is it for?

  • fuck the 1%

  • @UtubeMyAccountName ok I see the point your trying to make but those are campain promises that never happen ever look at obama what has he changed nothing same old crap and in reality all the politicans who said they were working for us are actaully working for corp america dems and rep are the same behind the curtain the things the banks what get done the.things the poor need never happen a govt for the people by the people is a dream that never happened

  • @seanwue Exactly, and therefore I reserve my contempt for the bureaucrats.

Not that I agree in any way, that anybody, rich or poor has a justifiable claim on anyone else's property, but I do understand the frustration of the people who aren't getting what they paid (voted) for.

  • @UtubeMyAccountName thier bribed to help deregulate the system so the elitest can keep sticking in our asses that still dosnt answer my question how do the poor bribe with votes everyone has the right to vote not everyone has millions of dollars to help rig campains so they can profit off the tax payers back later while collasping our econmy at the same time

  • @seanwue A politician says 'if you vote for me, I'll tax the rich, or I'll increase entitlements, etc.' to a poor community. A politician says 'if you support my candidacy, I'll make sure you get this subsidy, or this contract, etc.' to moneyed interests.

A poor community says "if you increase entitlements, or tax the rich, etc. we'll vote for you. Moneyed interests say 'if you grant us this subsidy, or give us that contract, etc.' we'll support your candidacy.

The system is built on bribery.

  • Us bottom 99% are to open a can of whup ass on the evil hateful lying asshole 1%

  • @20thcentfox well yeah i said it's the system that's at fault. Because of those laws, it ISN'T considered corruption. in my country (belgium) politicians can only get a certain amount in donations. i however don't know howmuch that is so we might have the same problem. We have enough false flag political problems that it could be true. Also some random thought, it would help america to have a (relevant) third political party.

  • There are over 3 million people in the U S that represent the "1 percent" all 3 million don't work for banks and pay only 15 percent on capital gains. Fucking straight up liberal class envy spewed out by ignorant children.

  • @NCAJAX That's exactly what Cenk said in the video when he talked about Oprah, Lebron James, etc...and other people who don't work in the finance industry. He clearly only talked about the finance people in the banks and on Wall Street. Did you even watch the video?

  • @NCAJAX The 1% is really a figure of speech, if we were to get technical it would be the 0.1% or less. But that makes the sentiment even sadder, because it's narrowing down an even smaller group to blame for complicit actions and manipulating the government.

  • @UtubeMyAccountName dude wtf are u talking about how is a vote a bribery stop wacthing fox news bro were the hell did u learn that the poor a just as gulity as the rich cause they vote go read a book

  • @seanwue What is it exactly that you think bureaucrats are being bribed for?

  • @UtubeMyAccountName to give away trillions of tax payer dollars to their buddies

  • cenk is growing a horn haha

  • can some blow that dam sims/furry ad up EVERY VIDEO IT'S THERE .

  • Go Occupy Wall Street, at least we have some people that have had enough of all the corrupt bullshit.

  • Wasn't America found by thieves? It actually makes sense for thieves to run it as well.

  • @lukegreen37 ur thinking of australia

  • I may be in the minority, but it's my opinion that the entire trading system needs an overhaul. Gambling with money (aka high frequency trading, day trading, forex, etc) should be either completely illegal or taxed at such a ridiculous rate that no one will do it. I think the stock market should be purely for the purpose of raising capital and long term gain and not for the purpose of day traders making money off of fluctuations. Call me crazy.

  • @dayati ---

You may be in minority but I am with you mate, your line of thought is indeed what the globalized capitalist system needs. A complete overhaul, incl f.e the Tobin tax, something that is wellknown in academics; the product of intelligentsia and not some Hollywood cowboy actor Reagan with zero relevant education.

Here in the EU, it has been on the agenda but forces of evil have denounced it on the most fatalist grounds.

    .

This is something frequently debated in academics as well.

  • @dayati ---

Whereas the Tobin tax is more concerning capital flight thanks to the easily-scared pack animals that are irresponsible, immoral stock traders, the short-term gambling in itself is also a key problem.

    .

Trading in natural resources, for long-term projects etc if supervised and regulated duly is something that I could see be passed on cautiously to the forces of the market.

    .

But short-term gambling, causing chaos on unsafe bets, trading with debt like reckless fucks, it has to stop.

  • @dayati I'd be happy just doing away with hedge funds.

    <
