Have you calculated (I'm lousy at math) the actual odds of the main character having experiences in life that match up with the exact answers to questions deeply impressed upon his heart and mind through these experiences. The very questions asked -- are in exact ratio, and exact timing with his previous life experiences -- this kid should live in vegas. I was unimpressed.
Salim never raped Latika. She was a virgin that was worth a lot of money so he sold her to that old guy. He didn't want Jamal around because he knew that Jamal wasn't going to let that happen. Salim is all about money! remember.
i have the dvd it was a good reveiw but you dont have to call up india theres a lot of indian food stores that rent or sell movies thats where i got the movie

But getting all the facts wrong in the movie is a highly absurd response to that. As for biggest box office hit, we never said it was a bad movie by any means, but everyone agrees Batman Dark Knight was better. It had everything Slumdog had and more.
Sure Slumdog is the happier movie with a happier ending but that's not what a movie should be judged on.
Just a correction 'WeJustGotBetter' guys ... Irfan Khan is the police officer who interrogates Jamal and not the guy who makes children beg ... you got the 2 mixed up
umm it's obvious u guys watced this movie high. U didnt get any of the facts right and u guys are not movie watchers this movie deserved every award they got! It has somethig in it everyone likes, supense action romance a fw little jokes here and there. So dont right a review on a movie its obvious that youhave not seen.

You guys need to be matured to understand the emotions shown in the movie !!! Other Americans understood the emotions and understood the movie exactly . Hence it got the OSCAR !! Got it kids ? :)

in fact i was a little creeped out by all the recognition this film got. Again, it was a really good film, but for some reason that I can't understand, the academy felt to give this film the majority of the oscars this year.
Really good review guys! I ove hearing other peoples opinions on movies. Personally i believe Slumdog deserved the win best picture and all of the awards it was nominated for. It was really an amazing film with a lot of heart and a certain charm about it. well thats my opinion lol anyway sorry for such a long comment. keep up the reviews! I really enjoy them :)

Slumdog Millionaire was overrated...
so overrated. It was good... but 8 oscars? Boyle deserves directing, but it didn't really deserve best picture....

Check the box office. Slumdog millionaire is number 5 and milk is not even on the top ten its #19. so yea blows ur opion outta the water.
