  • quick question did you make the button out of just 2 wires? i have the same instruction sheet i downloaded it from AmericanMuscle. im trying to make mine with a blue illuminated button i got but wasnt sure if it needs an inline fuse i bought a few feet or wire from my local car audio shop. but that fuse thing is what has been stopping me from installing it to the green and white on my ignition wires wanna make sure first so i dont cause a short.

    thanks

  • Is there away to bypass the need of a key.....Also i had a 06 4.0 and it would eat the 90' model v8s every time...i now own a 4.6 but still miss my 6r the gas millage was GReat....Nice push button if i can bypass the key than im def getting one..

  • @swatter32 Yes there is a way to bypass just have to wire it a little different google search it though its not hard to find, sry.

  • I hate faggots that hate on v6 stangs . I have one and I love it! It's my first car and I'm 16 and people that drive their moms car are the ones talking sh*t!! It's a mustang doesn't matter what it is!

  • @GOHardInDaPaint5418 Yes you can still go hard in the paint with a v6, they get more powerful, technologically advanced every year.

  • i think requiring the key in the ignition is still a smart move from a security stand point. Even BMWs with push start require the key fob inserted before the push button will start the car. All upgrades are pointless if you think about it. Do you really need seat warmers in the car? Do you really NEED a V8 mustang. NO. But its nice to have. I think a push start is nice addition even if it needs the key. Its a conversation piece. If your a single guy, it impressive to the ladies. Good Job.

  • @bigpapahades Yes having the key is definitely a good security measure. I wish i could say I still have this mustang but unfortunately I sold it in 2010. Thanks for the mustang love though!

  • @StripedStang08 Thanks bro.

  • If you cut the green wire during instillation, you don't need the keys.

  • interior is so ugly

  • @jovianksc I agree cloth was not my first choice but couldn't afford factory leather. Aftermarket would have looked nice too.

  • its it stick or auto???

  • V6 V8 who cares its a Mustang. Even the V6 will eat the ricers.

  • I know you'll hate me for saying that. But I had to. LOL

  • That button is the only thing that will last on that rustang

  • did you have any problems with the push start?

  • this is completely useless if you still have to put the fuckin key in!

  • @DIENAMICProductions u still put the key in the s2000 too, its not meant for convenience its to make it feel like a race car, with the start up procedure

  • did i hear keys being put into an ignition??

  • You are now aware that the v6 Ford puts in these are still extremely powerful, and that it can most certainly drive circles around the grand caravan your mother lets you drive on the weekends.

  • What on earth is the point of it :D?It would be so so so much easier just to start the car with the keys.I just dont get it :)No offence

  • aw, it's cute, it's ALMOST a real car... but i think it has a problem with it, it's missing two cylinders XD

  • @thdremily you are dumb. a mustang is a mustang. you tell us to get a v8. why dont you get a shelby lil bitch?

  • @BKRmustangV6 a mustang is a mustang. and really, NO mustang is worth the money... get a car that can do more than just burn rubber in a straight line

  • Thanks for posting your stang'. If you don't understand the point of a start button or hate v6 mustangs why on earth would you watch a video titled "07 V6 Mustang, Engine Start Button"???

  • @jdowney429 nice one...!

  • thanks for the link

  • now tell me what the fucking point of that button is if you still have to put the key in??? won't it be easier to turn the key a little more further and just start the engine

  • Sorry dude, but the "push btton starter" is ..blah. The intelligent key with the transmitter chip is what makes the system cool. WIthout it, there's no point. Not really a dig onyou, but a dig on ford for not offering it. How is it Ford doesnt offer this on their 35k sports car, one of the champions of their brand name, but they offer it on their budget ass 16k fiestas and focuses. Really?

  • hey man i love these but if you want one to really show off its called an RFID keyless entry it is neat because you dont need a key at all you carry a fob with a chip in it the car sences the chip and alows you to start the car check out the videos on youtube there cool

  • i like all these unique mods. everyone around me does exhaust first, etc. every car is practically the same around me. good job making it unique dude. hopefully i find something unique to do when i get mine.

  • yea that is cool but why not take it all the way with a digital keyless ign. check out EZ-KEY ENGIN START not only solves the key problem but also acts as anti theft kills starter, ing, and fuel pump ( if equiped) not hardt o install.. works with cars that have imoblizers or old scool i have one and my insurace co. lowered my premium due to the install of the EZ-KEY

  • @DaPepsinator hater

  • can you fix a button to turn those honda ding ding dings off?

  • button is $40 . cool idea. you just splice it into the starter wire am guessing, like a kill switch.

  • Hey can you start it the normal way? (with they key)

  • is that engine start button from a honda s2000?

  • What happen if you push the Engine Start button after the engine is running? Does the Starter will engage again? I want to install the same button on my Focus. Thanks

  • a v6 mustang....

  • @cstmx156 Good job, you can read the title.

  • @StripedStang08 a v6 is basically saying i have no balls

  • @StripedStang08 a v6 in a mustang is basically saying i have no balls

  • hey have you check this one "Keypad push button, push start stop ignition DIY installation" on youtube as well, I think that would work on your car.

  • @diokaef Yah I'll take a look thanks.

  • v6 mustang is under powered so go for the v8

  • @electomagneticboom Yah thats helpful. Thanks.

  • you guys should look up "supra engine start button" no offense but a way cooler system, you get a fab that locks and unlocks the doors as you move to and from the car, also the fab only need to be in your pocket to start the car, i dont see the point in a push button if you still have to put the keys in it

  • @supradave9

i'm not gonna say anything negative towards since u rep the Supras. :) Thumbs up right there!

btw there's a special system which is pretty much the exact same as wat u were describing available for the mustang. i have it in my S197. it's made by Temple, the makers of the "Legend LM500" Mustang.

and i agree, the engine start system in this vid is literally pointless.

  • @JT18260 Glad you think it is pointless.

  • @StripedStang08

umm i value ur opinion, so i'll explain it a lil better. my whole argument is just that, why would u have a push button start when u have to have the key in the ignition? kinda pointless, why not just turn the key? i've seen sum where as long as you have the key in ur pocket and it's like within 1-2 feet of the sensor, u can just push the button and drive without a key in the ignition.

but i see that u only use it for "show" purposes, not functionality. . . . . so its ok. . .

  • @JT18260 I didn't need you to explain it further, Im capable of understanding simple scenarios. What I don't understand is why you still insist on asking, "why not just turn the key?" I've said many times that it is, as you said, for show purposes. I rarely use it, only when people ask, "what is that!??"

  • @StripedStang08

it's not that u are not capable, i just thought i'd be cool and just answer ur response. unlike sum dude on here, which i'm not gonna bother arguing with for one reason. . . . . (Supras own all).

and jus so u kno, i never seen where u said it was for show purposes, i jus assumed it. . . . . THAT is why I asked. . . . .

after all it's common logic really, u turn the key 75% of the way, just so u can push the button, so i would wonder why not just turn the key completely. . .

  • @supradave9 Why can't people understand this. The push button is not the primary mean of ignition nor is it even convenient! I only have it for shits and gigs. It impresses the ladies so thats good enough for me!

  • @StripedStang08 hoe id it not the primary means of ignition? thats how you turn it on?

  • @supradave9 I turn the car on with the key most of the time, thus making my key the primary means of ignition.

  • @StripedStang08 o i see....well not trying to knock you but that makes it even more pointless.....idk how much it cost or how much you make, but it just seems like a upgrade that wasnt needed, in my opinion you should have saved your money

  • @supradave9 I dont give a fuck if you think I should have saved my money. Why do you even care?

  • @StripedStang08 calm down dude haha its just my opinion

  • every exhaust ive looked for a v6 is ricey. you only get the "american muscle" sound from v8's

  • does it matter the v6 is slower than shit 4.0l and only 220hp, gm v6 303.

  • @ilovenissan ever consider the weight? the camaros faster but not as much as the hp difference would suggest

  • weight has nothing to do with it, that V6 is a piece of shit for people who cant drive a real car, here is another example nissan vq4.0 de 271 hp 291 pound feet of torque. Ford threw that 4.0 together to sell mustangs to the woman,2011 stang, that will be interesting.

  • damn what an UGLY interior on that mustang. i would bash ford, but i just drove a 2010 fusion, and now that they're in do or die mode, they actually did an amazing job redesigning that car, not to mention performance and handling. if they start designing all fords like that, they may actually be in the car game for another 100+ years.

  • @the604the604 What auto company isn't in "do or die" mode right now? It's hardly fair to call the interior ugly when you are watching a low quality video shot with a shit camera. But to each his own.

  • If i was to get a new hot rod it probably would be the , stang GT, love v8 torque.

  • what kinda of exhaust you have? I have an 07 v6, and my stock doesn't sound that good : ) lol ....im guessing not stock though

  • I swapped out the stock V6 exhaust for a GT takeoff that I bought from a friend who put a custom exhaust system in his GT. I'm gonna put in an H pipe and some magnaflows soon, so keep an eye out for that video!

  • I prefer my 3.5 Altima 6 speed 270Hp push button, leave the key in your pocket, no keys required, love it.

  • @sandcut1 exactly, that was a good concept that nissan came up with.

  • @sandcut1 cool

  • @GoCubbyz GT Take off. Would sound better if it were some other kind of brand name muffler.

  • its really pointless if u have to put the keys in then push the button

  • Its a novelty...just for fun.

  • Does it work without the keys too? Because that would be really awesome if you could warm up your car in the driveway, without anyone being able to get in and move (steal) the car out of park/neutral.

  • then how would you turn it off, say, if you dropped your keys in a gutter or something while its warming up?

  • you'd just press the start button again, I guess, or there'd be a separate off button.

  • No no this is just a push start button, not a remote start. Your keys need to be in the car for it to work

  • we know, but we're saying "what if" you didnt need keys. I was saying it wouldnt be a good idea.

  • very cool mod! and only $110

  • @bmgilge No a little less than that. The button is from an S2000 and can be picked up for like $40 and all the electrical stuff (wiring, fuse etc) can be picked up for $10.

  • fuck tha haters . you should be glad that u are driving a mustang . i would do ANYTHING for driving a mustag .. but im only 14 yrs old hehe :]

  • how much it cost??

  • Why this car make those sounds when you put the ignition key?

  • Not really sure to be honest, I think its just warning sounds.

  • what's the name of that thing that make these sounds?? i want one for warning of opened door.

  • lol i have no idea man, it comes with the car, its not a custom thing or anything

  • Its a door chimer

  • @yorchreloaded Because theres something in every car called a battery. When you put you're keys in the mustang, it makes a standard beeping noise and the panel lights up all caution lights. Its just to let the driver know that the systems are operational.

  • How is a Cadillac more american than a Ford?

  • i dont know where that came from but ford is a million times better than cadillac.

  • From a honda civic 1989 driver...

  • lol your the biggest load of fail thats ever typed on the internet fag

  • honestly.. this button was created for show only, and if you werent a dumb fuck you would know that the key has to be in the on position for this SHOW start buttons to work, its very cool and you are just a bitch so you wouldnt understand.. sorry bitch

  • hey idiot u think ur the only smart one here? we all know its for show he's screwing u over with a stupid button, we all knew it was for show before u got here so shutup

  • just saw this today... FUCK YOU!

  • dude if ur gona comment on someones video dont be a dick. fuck man.

ncie 07 Stang man.. its pretty sweet.

  • Thanks bro, ive put a lot of hard work into it.

  • Togan, did you not read my fucking title? I never said it was a remote start dude! Its a push button start and you have to turn the key to the start position in order for the button to work. Once again, its a push button, not a remote. Get your shit right before you post a stupid comment like this you fucking idiot.

  • yeah put a honda part on a afford, fucking idiot. if youre going to waste money on a mustang, atleast put a FORD gt engine start button in it.

  • Honda start button is $80 cheaper than Ford's and it does the same thing. Eat shit faggot.

  • oooooooooo! nice come back!

  • hey 8008 that is the Ford Gt push start button what is it with haters on here trying to talk shit and not having there facts straight. lol

  • seriously...im tired of these fucking haters...nothing but a bunch of jealous hyundai driving mother fuckers.

  • so if the car is already started and you push the button again, will it grind the ignition?

you know that horrible sound you hear??? :D

  • nah, it just makes an annoying clicking noise

  • i have a question, i am about to do this. did you get a relay and the fuses or just the wire and button??

did you go into the starter and acc or just the starter

  • I got the button from the link on the side, about 6 feet of wiring (red and black, extra length just incase i fucked up) bought that along with the relay and number 3 fuse at my local computer parts store, can be found at local auto store. I cant remember the url for the wiring diagram that i used, but i know you have to t-tap into the accessory (cig lighter's) power (the blue cable) in order to power the button. Then t-tap into the green ignition wire in the steering column.

  • i just went into the starter and acc so i can still use the key in those testy situations lol i will post a vid, its in a caddi

  • Ill find the schematic for you too.

  • i prefer keys

  • They still work.

  • what exactly is the point of this? jw

  • Really no point. More of a novelty. Just for fun.

  • thats pretty cool, i love the black dashboard with the black vents, do you know where i might be able to buy that? a black dashobaord/black vents. Currently mine is like the silver dashboard with satin vents and chrome ring.

  • brenspeed sells this setup for 130$. Do you have any recommendations on where to get it cheaper?

  • Can you do that on a 2008 V6 stang?

  • yah you can

  • Thank you!

  • Looks cool and everything, but wouldn't it be easier to just turn the key? lol.

  • The whole purpose is that it looks cool.

    Ya probably.

  • this is prob a stupid question but..wat if you hit the start button once the car is already on?

  • Ive never tried it on my car, but i think if you push it while the car is on, it would be as if you turned the key (while it was on) it makes the starter click (doesnt affect the engine) but bad for the starter.

  • That is why you should get an anti-grind relay in your car. It prevents that. Same thing on my remote start rather than push button. You get one of those so if you turn the key it won't grind the starter. Nice video, do you have an exhaust clip? I'll check your other vids.

  • DUDE.... now that is coooool! was it hard to wire it?
