how could such a great series be canceled?!...because the unaducated north-american prefers a straight caracter who shots cylons in space rather than a suspanse/drama/filosofical dilema...; because the north-american is so agresively entangled and bleached in hyper-christianism hollowness, that it cant resonate with a future human civilization thriving on politheism or any other religion than theirs...or any other "functional" belief...

No no not really. Though I bet the idea for this show came from BSG. Basically its about Joseph Adama. He loses her daughter, and his friend, a biological engineer of sorts loses his daughter aswell. So, he creates his daughter again and he makes Joseph Adamas daughter also. So there is a lot of ethical situations in the show. I think that's plot pretty much. I reckon it'd be worth checking out.

I just saw Caprica and it is awesome! I really can't wait to see the show if they decide to continue it. It has many of the meaty themes as BSG and adds onto our knowledge of the twelve colonies before the fall including race and religious conflicts. The acting is superb and the character development excellent as we BSG fans now expect!

Im as nervous about the show as anyone else, but Im hopeful. This is a pilot after all, shot some years ago based on a script from 2006, before the Writer's Strike. The pilot movie could be a whole different animal than what is to come in 2010. Again, I'm hopeful, so say we all.

I am a huge fan of bsg but one thing i didnt like about it was the episodes where it resembled a soap opera... this looks a bit 2 dramatic for me.

it would be good if they could stick to the core story of bsg, the evolution of the cylons. Instead of capriica they should of made a series about Cobol i think that it would of been a bit more interesting

It *is* the core story of how the cylons were developed. Zoe's existence and Daniel's inability to let her go are the keys to the end of colonial civilization. Didn't you ever wonder how a group of metallic centurions suddenly developed a sense of free will and a belief in monotheism in a polytheistic society? Zoe is monotheistic. Think about it and it becomes a very ominous back story to Battlestar.
