What a work of art! I am about to tackle my own hardwood floor, 1300 s.f. and if I could ask a question it would be much appreciated. I currently have carpeted flooring with 7/16" plywood subfloor and 5/8" particle board underlayment. What would you suggest replacing the particle board with before I get started? The 5/8" seems to be a thickness that will work well with the 3/4" hardwood. Thanks in advance!

Fantastic job, sir! So you bought regular flooring and cut your own boards? Cost vs buying from mill the same? How did you fit t&g? Regroved every board???
