the sprint instinct is a total piece of shit. The first one I got was frozen in DOWNLOAD mode, whatever that is. So I took it back two days later and got a new one. It worked OKAY for awhile there, but all of a sudden it started freezing on me all the time. Now I can't even make phone calls without having to wait for it to unfreeze. This phone blows. for those that obviously don't know the instinct is not a hacked/fake/upgraded unit. it is a bell mobility canada issued instinct. just like sprint it has little things different too make it more friendly with their network and its features. this is my my second one and my third has started doing the same things!
Maybe the new Iphone 3G has some upgrades that it didnt have before the instinct came out...i dont know. But i do know that when the instinct came out apple had to hurry and come out with the i phone 3G because they got spanked by the instinct in every way. The new i phone 3G is still lacking pretty much all the things it did before with the original i phone. I think the only thing that added was GPS. I phone cant even send pics without giving them a url....thats a pain in the ass.
the i phone has alot of downsides too. Any phone out there is guna have probs...it's just depends on which probs you can live with and which ones you cant. I phone doesnt have a battery you can get to ...instinct has 2. Iphone doesnt have external memory...instinct does. Iphone doesnt have a video camera...instinct does. I phone is way more expensive and you cannot purchase insurance thru at&t for the iphone. You have to buy ins. thru apple...which is very expensive.

i get the load times and that its a crude video as I was in a hurry and just mad at my 3rd yes 3rd instinct but we are talking really slow here. my old motorola Q was less glitchy then my 3 instincts have been. and all three have had diff issues. one kept just restarting itself at random. one had battery and service indicator issue's like I would take it off the charger battery full then launch the browser and it would say battery save mode and close it then 5 min later say battery full.
The biggest BS about this video though is the fact that you're basically reviewing a glitched instinct. I don't own one but between the many reviews Ive seen and goofing around with several of my friends insincts, I know enough about this phone to know this is not an accurate representation of it. You're phone is glitchy and behaves differently than every other instinct I've seen or heard about.
Like the previous poster said, it's external memory, so it's common knowledge that is has some load time. Also notice that the music has been playing for 11 seconds before you go "oh look it finally started playing," trying to make it look a lot slower than it was. And your sarcasm in the video made it that much more annoying to try and get through.
