  • we need this in minecraft!

  • it doesnt work for me...it says couldnt find nvidia card...so it runs very slow

asus laptop with intel i5 second gen up to 2.9 gt540m and integrated hd 3000

i already set execute with nvidia gpu

  • this is real-time right?

  • Do you need an NVIDIA graphics card to use PhysX? o_o

  • how realistic is the fluid physics? does it behave like water should in terms of spread over surfaces at correct speeds etc? can it be used for accurate simulations?

  • 0:39 BALLS OF STEEL

  • green one was looking like contaminated water from batman arkham asylum game. LOL

  • did you get it from nvidia.com

  • whats the program?? (sry for sounding stupid , but i cant find the nvidia pshyx download or something like that and i wanna make animations like that

lol) pls rspond ,quicly , ty

  • You don't need hardware you need software optimized for this stuff... most physx games do not use a PPU. Because they run on systems that don't have one. CUDA is open source... and is capable of running on any GPU (which like a PPU is designed to executes many many threads simultaneously).

  • great piddle engine

  • I am hoping with next generation consoles that will come after 360 and ps3, there will be a push for liquid based games. Hopefully we'll have games that will run something like this easily. I can imagine many gameplay applications for water.

  • Could this be used for blood?

  • physics on PC's now are AMAZING

  • Oh no, the town has been filled with Blueberry Jam!

  • ati can do so much better when they start to up their game next year with open gl

  • help me i have geforce 8400 gs 512 mb and it works like poop and it says i dont have nivida physix driver install and when i try tro install it it say your graphics card dosent need it so can u help me

  • @flightsimx65 same happened with me when i had the card

  • looks more like jelly than water, but still - it's great! :)

  • these demos are outdated

  • technology hascome a long way pitty the worlds just about used up

  • can i download these demos anywhere to try on my computer? i got one when installing physx into ut3 but its a bit boring (with crappy squares for fluid lol) and i want to see how my computer can do this :)

  • Oh gosh, so if i dont have PhysX water wont look like jelly? :(

  • @thepunishment If you don't have physx, water won't look like anything at all xD

  • @thepunishment its not really how the liquid looks like, its how the liquid reacts is what the video is about.

  • Yes as of recently Nvidia does have DX11 courtesy of their fermi series.

  • Epic lulz

  • it's not 'realistic' because you cant render molicules on the scale of real water, if you want to do that try squirting water at something.

it is however how technology and graphics engines develop so i think it's a nice demo

  • ye, comparing this to the other stuff out there

    this is groundbreakingly awesome.

And we cant hope for Real time water simulations on the molecular scale any time soon

  • @nazgul60 you don't need to render molecules, realistic water could be simulated by rendering each droplet of water

  • @heydanbud Maybe nanotechnology brings us games with incredible small particles (nano = molecular and atom sized scale)

  • @laitela01 that has nothing to do with doing physics calculations unless you're talking about how microprocessors are designed and manufactured... and we've been utilizing nanotechnology for years with processors.

  • @heydanbud yes, I mean microprocessors... nanotechnology will speed up things so dramatically...

  • @laitela01 there has been almost 10years of nano cpu's what exactly are you talking about? first 90nm cpu in 2002 was considered nano technology, anything below 100 is. today they are trying to make 32nm cpu

stay off the scifi series they seem to have bad influence on intelligence,

do you think nano technology is something new? hahahah

''Maybe nanotechnology brings us games with incredible small particles'' ? whaat? are you on acid that has nothing to do with particle size in game

  • They need need bubbles!

  • how do you switch modes, mine says sw, but i want hw so it will run smooth

  • @Zhalix

graphics cards can handle the load.

when this came out i think we had 800 series cards. those werent ment for physx. but if you used a 200 or 400 series card for this you would be able to make the particles on here 3 times smaller and it would work perfect.

  • Totolly unrealistic. The water ontop of the little roof there should flow a little downwards and not straight to the right.

  • not supposed to be "realistic"

  • if you were to make the particles smaller it would look more realistic.. xD

  • @Stuna2150 it would also require a super-computer.

  • @KoopDawg0 Nope. just a tesla card. ^_^

  • @ mathyson

The ATI cards can support lots and lots of stuff, just because they dont have them built in doesent mean you cant. i dont use ATI myself but i used to be able to play PhysX games with a ATI card Maxed out. so dont judge by what you dont know.

  • Yeah Nivdia will always be better in everyway. the ATI graphic cards are just crap. i mean like the ATI 5770 its cheap but ffs why in hell does it got GDDR5 its pointless. and damn it suck that it have 128-bit. It's unbelievable bad. the 295 got 896 bits. u see the diffrent. what im trying to say is that the ATI graphic cards mybe cheaper but they are not balanced cards.

And if GDDR5 is so fucking good as ppl think i think Nivdia would have done already some graphic cards with that.

  • fanboy much ?. . . Just shows your intellectual honesty by trying to compare a single GPU card to a duel GPU card.

Physx is a gimmick since most developers are moving over to the havok engine which is so much better.

Reason Nvidia aren't using DDR5 is because they're still milking old technology for all it's worth.

Fermi products had better be a miracle ( i hope they are then it gives ATI more incentive) because Nvidia are falling behind.

  • Fagboy much? So ure a ATI Fanboy then. so why discuse somthing that we will never think the same about. well and DDR3 and DDR5 it's no diffrent between doese. its just the number. or if its a diffrent like i said ATI is using the DDR5 to early. so nivdia dont need to milk in DDR5 because they know its no point doing it yet. lol aww and im sorry that i compared a dual CPU. what about i say GTX 285 it have i think somthing around 512BIt if i dont remember wrong, see can u see the diffrence ?=)

  • @Vitapantern This has been explained lots of times. Just because the memory pipeline is big dosent mean the bandwidth goes with it. GDDR5 is quad rate for the memory clock speed unlike GDDR3/GDDR4 which is only Dual rate.

  • @iJames1o1o aww thanks =P now i know that well so its much much easyer to over clock a GDDR5 graphic card then? or did i just not understand u ?-_-

  • @Vitapantern overclocking a GDDR5 graphics card is so much easier. The memory does not need to teach high clock speeds (because of the quad data rate). In GDDR3 most cards are clocked arround 1200mhz on memory. This is effectivally 2400mhz (2.4ghz). Thats really the highest you can overclock GDDR3. In GDDR5 you could clock the memory at 1000mhz and because its quad datarate its effectivilly 4000mhz (4ghz)

  • ATI is leading on some areas, nVidia on others... wish the sell an ATIVidia soon...

  • nVidia is a bit behind due to the delay of PhysX 2 and their Fermi series (Think they renamed it...) but a better name would be NviTIa

  • tested both Nvidia cards and ATI cards, and I have to say, Nvidia wins. Its performs better and hell, trying to find the right ATI driver is a fucking pain in the ass

  • no your just to dumb to find one

its called the ati official website numbnuts

ATI hase more power and thus can handle more and even look better

i dont se Nvidia using eyefinity

CCC can do the same all it requiers is a little more effort in the software

so yeh i think you just pritty moutch fail finding the software

  • I don't see ATI using 3d.

I don't see ATI using SLI.

I don't see ATI using Physx.

I don't see ATI using CUDA.

I don't see ATI using ESA? PowerMizer? PureVideo?

Sure, ATI has TV on PC, but you can't really do much with that, can you?

  • @mathyson lolcrossfire.

But seriously, this fanboyism is ridiculous on both sides. I'm an nvidia owner of many years, but I don't feel the need to be goddamn evangelical about it. Simmer down.

  • ATI don't need SLI they have crossfire. NVidia doesn't have DX11

  • @dorgeshuun123 yea they do :Þ

  • @mathyson

    YOU'RE RIGHT!!!

  • @mathyson ATI has 3d. Avatar game works in 3d.

ATI has crossfire. Competitor to SLI.

ATI has Hardware physics. Not PHYSX but it does use the GPU to run Physics on games.

CUDA is just an idea. The idea of a graphics card doing CPU stuff (IE: Physx)

Purevideo? It has Avvivo which is better.

  • @iJames1o1o dude you got it ALL wrong

  • @Yesterdayss

No not anymore now with new drivers a 5870 is better then the 295 always.

  • wow PhysX will change gaming forever ha ha 'not'

  • physx will change gaming it will make almost everything destructible. It will add more reality to games

  • Fuck PhysX

  • haha even the Physx Uureal T3 works on ATI HW Go Figure? Like I said , Just software.. I'm seeing the case of " Oh look I have Physx .. good on ya

  • If thats the case . why is it i can run all this shit on my ATI hardware?

  • Is that all interface friendly or do you have to apply some code ?

  • Do you have to know how to program ? In what language ?

  • gta 4 needs this SHIT >=0

  • no. it would lag like ****

  • It already lags anyway.

  • well, i can run this smooth with 25-30 fps. it really looks awesome but at the moment gamedevelopers should stay at using prerendered scenes because most pc's can't run this and everything over 60000 particles wouldn't run good even on good pc's

  • NVCUDA

    This video created by yourself?

If yes, say what videocard you have

  • Nvidia have fooled people into thinking that it's some sort of extra Chip on the video cards that do the Physics .. It's just a Shitty software patch

  • You're a shitty computer person.

  • And your a Dick who needs to do Proper Research !

  • punk ass .. Get a Education

  • lol @ You putting "a education"; that's some heavy irony right there, dumbass. Also, stop bitching on this page no one cares.

  • Dumbass .. Arse .. You seem too care? haha Love Getting bites from fan boys ..Learn proper English mate . Not that Half baked tripe they must have taught you at school .

  • Still trying to find something like this, but without a Particle limit, just want to push my PC to the limit and see how much of a spectacular show it can put on before becoming a slideshow.

  • can i run this with nividia physx 1gb 2.9ghz prosessor 2gb ram

  • it's to slow and sludge like but good effort

  • I look at the arguements and all I can say is "...why?"

  • THIS IS ALL LOL TROLL NO MORE

  • how do u make demos like this? anyone?

  • looks like goo

  • yeah, right on,

  • dear jufeds,

NVIDIA save the planet and human race

    Intel = BUSH

slow release new tech, make the world worse

now only start battery road car~~~

  • Nvidia Want to Whore their Pathetic junk around Lying to investors and Consumers no actual Research on anything they do Fanbois will continue whoring instead of exploring PFFT

  • Is this realtime, and if so, what are your specs?

  • That would be perfect for a strategy game.

  • 00:34 so THATS where all the oil is going...

  • 00:41 so Thats where our Ping Pong balls go :/

  • As a beginner programmer, my mind cringes at thinking about how physics engines work. ;)

  • my friend has some ati cards in his comp and anyone who said ati cant run this is dumb. i watched him do it.

  • then he is running a hack and that equals crap

  • You sir are an idiot.

  • You sir are either a liar, in denial or a Fucktard

  • allow me to explain as your brain evidently cannot possibly render this on its own. Any PC on earth can run these Demos but if a computer has something other than either an physX card or an Nvidia GPU the physics will go to the CPU but if you have one of the above the stress will be removed from your CPU to allow it to process things like A.I and the physics will go to the dedicated card or the Nvidia GPU. unless your running a crappy unreliable hack and you have a stained soul.

  • I might be in denial or a fucktard then because you are definitely mature. My friend has dual 4850's in crossfire and the demo worked great on them. Im not saying I know how he got them to run with it I was merely commenting that i knew someone that can do it. I have a 9800gtx+ in my system and by all means Im a nvidia fanboy. i never could get a kick out of ati for some reason. there you go.

  • Nerd Rage lol

  • lawl him and me play gmod together now.

  • Go suck a dick you faggot. Physx is ONLY available for NVIDIA cards. Your 'friend' was probably just watching this youtube video and confused you. Don't comment unless you know what you're talking about MORON

  • He was obviously watching a video and got confused.. It's always 'my friend' who 'saw a pig flying, its true' etc etc

    so be quiet noob

  • go suck a dick and stop trolling you worthless fuck

  • You're the one trolling making up BS then replying with not proof, but instead just flaming. Get a life moron

  • im not trolling bro you are the one that needs to get a life. you commented on a comment i posted over a month ago now.

  • if ur really not trolling then don't reply to this..

  • Without PhysX you have spend few hundred dollar to buy Ageia PPU PCI Card

Thanks NVIDIA, so GPU able to perform PPU~~~

  • @fightforfair PhysX was done by Ageia

  • My friend has an ATI Radeon and he is able to activate PhysX for his Mirror's edge, but it lags and sucks hard every time there are "PhysX physics involved...

  • @Gamekep: That's why it is not the GPU that is running PhysX there, its the CPU, beause GPU-based Physx is only possible with DX10-GeForces yet.

ITs "possible" to activate Physx while running a Radeon in your PC, but it is nothe the Radeon that is doing the work because it cant run CUDA, the platform that made it possible to run the Ageia PhysX Engine on GPU-Shaders.

And the CPu is nothing but overstrained with PhysX, that why its lagin that much.

  • Wow you are one bad tempered ATI fan boy... Ageia was going bankrupt they had asked big companies like Intel AMD/ATI and Nvidia. All of them refused to help. Nvidia didn't want to make a PPU. Then an Nvidia Technician came up with the idea of physics calculations on a GPU. If you had an IQ you'd realise this is called INVENTING something NEW. Oh and its Spelt "through" not "thru" you retarded "Shit For Brains". Go enjoy your life with no friends. Because NOBODY likes a fanboy. Period.

  • Damn bro. Why don't you just go on and build your own video card. I bet you that if you do build one (highly doubt you can...) but just saying that you did, yours would be somewhat the same as any video card out there. (But would suck a lot more coming from a guy that probably only had one brand and stuck with it.) Don't shit on other peoples work bro.

  • jufeds, you are an idiot.

  • Wow, you may in fact be the dumbest jackass on planet earth!

  • This Vid Sucks the Download Link Doesnt Work

  • try the second link. then scroll to the bottom and only select the fluid demo. its part of the phsyx perk pack.

That ATi remark is also correct(somewhat) ATi supports physx but it requires a cracked driver unless im mistaken. it's been awhile since i checked.

  • lol everyone saying ati cant run this are dumb, if you have read through physx history it was used by agia and owned by them too, they were brought out by nvidia but agia cards still work with ati and can run nvidia demos, i have an agia card and it runs all the demos fine even with my 4870

  • my physx doesnt work very well any help?? i have a nvidea 9400 physx acceleraed card but this demo doesnt seem to utilize it much (its in a different hard drive than the drivers, does this matter??)

  • this is madness

  • 0:48 OMFG so much blood :D

@migniti: Why GTA4. Like there's a lot of water there. Especially falling water...

  • think of that in gta IV!!!!

  • this is magnificent at how it can run real time 60 fps and do many stuff while at max droppping 5 fps.

  • it probably took lots of rendering

  • actaully no i downlaoded it and played the demo its a little laggy but nope this isnt rendered

  • Nope I can do it in real time also. Just can't step upto bat with a pussy card.

    You need the POWWAAHHH!!!!!!

    *lighting strike*

I'll see about making a video response.

  • i downloaded it it actually runs at 60fps throughout the whole thing on my pc

  • so is the source code for this demo available to the public yet? will it ever be available?

  • you can download the demo im not sure about source code though

  • RealFlow is fluid physics software that takes hours to render seconds worth of fluid simulated animation and is only used for film special effects. The new nvidia physics processor does fluid and manty other types of physics simulation 60fps.

  • Originally you would have to buy a Agia Physics card but Nvidia baught them out and now include a similar physics processor built on to the new graphics cards aswell as a GPU.

  • Comment removed

  • why i can made so fast?

  • AWESOME

  • realflow is better

  • real flow isnt real time like this

  • I hope my 2.35 GHz processor can run physx features

  • I have a AMD 64 x2 2.8ghz, and a 8400GS based card, and it seems to run it!, not smooth, but runs!

  • The point of PhysX is that it relys on the graphics card for it's processing power, not the CPU it'self. As long as you have an 8 series card or higher you should be able to run this.

  • That's not true, the point of PhysX is that it takes the stress off the CPU of trying to emulate Physics, PhysX is a Physics Processing Unit (PPU) that works with along side the graphics card and Cpu to provide realistic physics as well as physic graphics.

  • Only if you have a dedicated PPU, but Nvidia has move the PhysX engine to work with 8 series and higher graphics cards. Thats the point of this demo, using graphics cards as a physics card, rather then purely video and graphics.

If you don't own a PPU, then it uses the graphics card along side the CPU to handle the physics, rather then just the CPU.

  • Yeh that's what I was getting at, though I've heard of the ATI + NVidia Hybrid system that can make the ATI the renderer and the Nvidia the PhysX..

Its a confusing issue on how because I keep hearing the people saying that two monitor are needed.

  • Awesome!

  • wow if you saw this on my computer then i think the frame rate would hurt because of how slow it is!!

Windows Vista Hom Premium 32 bit

    Core 2 duo 1.83Ghz

    3 Gb memory

    Nvidia GeForce 8400m GS

    base rating 3.4

    (Now with Physx obviously)

But the whole system is too complicated for my system.

  • imagine if the wather was blood ... WOW

  • I got this and it runs REALLY slow, any suggestions?

  • It`s working on 23fps on my 9600GT

  • where can i download thatß??or ohter stuff???please answere^^

  • Look in the fucking description. Use your brain.

  • hey in this demo can u do something? like in aegia

  • will it run on a 6600GT ?

  • lol no

  • Guessed so, my crappy shit computer realy needs to be upgraded, no it should be trashed, id buy a new one...

  • At the moment I have a GF 8600 gt... about 10 fps..

Now I get a GF 9800 gt.. I hope the FPS will increase...

  • sli them and use the 8600 to do physx

  • dont think you can do that with 8600gt + 9800gt, they have to be based on the same GPU

  • my friend has a 260 and an 8800 and he uses it..

  • interesting, i'll have to look into the topic then

  • @PwnerEntertainment

when using a card that is dedicated to Physx, you do not need to have SLI, as the Card rendering the video does not directly communicate with the Card rendering Physx.

Currently i have a Gtx 295 with a 8600 GT Dedicated to Physx.

  • They only have to be the same GPU if you want both of them to do graphics, but you can have one GPU do graphics and another do PhysX.

  • lol at fullscreen i get 25fps with my nVidia 260 GTX and i've got an resoulution of 1920x1200 and Windows Vista ;)

  • Buy a PhysX card for your PCI slot...will jump that FPS up 10 or so.

  • I get 7 fps lol with 8500gt with no physx.
