not relating to the fire, but i think there should be an option on you're phone that let's you take longer videos. mine does, but i also have a memory card. but i think you can anyway.
The electrical connection between the transformer & the traction motor probably went bad causing an overload & heat situation not unlike overloaded house wiring that leads to a house fire. Very good catch, very sad to see such a wonderful piece of american history go up in smoke like that. If you notice, the fire doesn't really spread because the oxygen is near the windows. It's a testament to the build quality that it could even be moved after a fire like that. Thanks for posting!
when was this? was this the fire from a few days ago? cuz i'm at bryn mawr and ppl talked about the fire but not the r5 or near us. though i do remember the fire siren going off a lot on one day.

@1h2r well, not completely. The car on fire has been scrapped essentially, the other cars are in service.

It happened on Wednesday Nov. 4th around 7 am.
