Hi, I've successfully opened a map, Eve of the Apocalypse Twilight 1.14a7. However, when I look at the units and abilities, there are no custom units or abilities and I found only one JASS trigger. Did I do something wrong? lol

@Sherman288 of course it works with them o.o I found a new way of protection btw, it adds docstrings and some other stuff to the mpq and makes it unopeneable for most mpq viewers.

I have this map I've been trying to find a way to deprotect, but I can't get any sort of deprotect program to work. I'm trying to deprotect it purely to figure out a way to upload it again, so me and my friend can play it again. : / It's called Harry Potter MF, sounds pretty lame but it's actually very well done, I'd apprecaite if someone could help. :c

@Malfurion111 the script you are talking about is JASS (Just Another Scripting Syntax) and you cannot save the map...

plus you can deprotect a map BUT only if it was greated using GUI triggers and then protected by vexorian;s map optimizer, jass from converting GUI to custom text is different than vanilla jass...so if the map was created using vanilla jass or vJass you can't restore GUI triggers since they never have been there...

Thank you for this informative video... However, I cannot seem to find a base map file that is available... Not even on Rapidshare. Is there some other way to perform the last portion of this withought downloading a base map file from somewhere else? I've done every step except for the last step, and I am unable to open my map. I'm really even proud that I'm trying to unprotect this specific map (LoaP: Res Evil 8.6C), but Gloomfrost and his associates are no longer around to host it...

Jo erstmal danke für den Tipp, aber glaube nicht, dass das etwas ist , was ich suche. Soweit ich es verstanden habe, kann man damit nur wie der Name schon sagt cheats einbauen , wie z.B gold adden etc.

Ich hingegen wollte die Map eigentlich nur bearbeiten, also paar Skills balancen, hinzufügen, items wie z.B tomes usw.

Wenn dies auch mit dem Cheatpack möglich ist, dann hab ichs wohl übersehen :P

Der mit dem ich es gemacht hatte hat erst die protection entfernt (nicht wie in dem Video, nur irgendwelche Dateien aus der MPQ entfernt / bearbeitet) und dann konnte man war3map.j bearbeiten so das die map nachher noch spielbar ist

TheGreatStrategy 4.67 Die map ist inactive und wollte nur paar kleinere Changes machen und wollte fragen, ob du mir helfen kannst den Fehler zu beheben.

@Diefanta2 Mit MPQ Recover kannst du ein Listfile erstellen für MPQ Master. Musst einfach die Map mit MPQ Recover öffnen, Haken bei Deep MPQ Scan machen->Bruteforce klicken->Scan klicken->Save List und das listfile im MPQ Master listfile ordner speichern

@MarissaHotty God I'm explaining that for like the 5721th time now, if you don't have showing extensions enabled it's named YourMap.w3x.w3x, so try naming it YourMap / active extensions and u can set it by urself

this didnt work, i got the map but it only gave me the init trigger and doesnt show units or regions. i can regularly open the map but i cant see anything but terrain and units, so i guess i recovered the map trigger but i wanted to see regions >:|

@omfgLOL95 Its not only the init trigger, its all triggers ;P just named init. The regions are in the trigger too (I think), they are just not visible in the terrain editor ;p

jetzt habe ich nur das problem, dass z.B. Gebiete, Einheiten, Gebäude etc. nicht auf der Map vorhanden sind und wenn ich die map speicher (auch wenn ich nichts dran geändert hab) der editor abkackt ^^

@th3G4mer Speichern nach Deprotecten ist ja auch nicht der Sinn davon ;o vorplatzierte Objekte kannst du auch wiederherstellen (schau mal auf wc3edit nach, da gibts paar gute Tutorials)
