Its was like yesterday playing this game man i do miss it. As a marine I was SDV*ESF*XO As Alien I was STUNG*AMF*. This was one of the best gaming communitys I have ever played with man times do change.

@sdv5555 STUNG!!! I doubt anyone remembers me but I was Mokie +M*K+ as an alien an Axl +A*K+ as a Marine. This game had the best community. Shout outs to Preacher, Doc of [DR] Saturn, Wu Wo, MindCrime and so many other greats. Still wish this game could come back some how.

@antdude this game was tha bomb , it was on this online game service called gamestorm where u pay 10 bux a mo and had a lot of dif games to play on their service . in aliens u could be a marine or alien. if u went alien u start as a facehugger which was hard to level or a full grown alien but if u wanted to level up to a queen u had to start as facehugger only (hardly anyone did that cos it was rly hard), i only remember one player who made it to queen. marines had dif kits each with a dif weapn

ohhh shit i member this game from gamestorm . i used to play this for hours EVERYday . i never chose heavy weapons class cos of that cheap gun they had that the alien players complained about (tho the fuckn alien tail was cheap too) . i always went scout or sometimes medic . after i got bored of this id switch over to magestorm for some cathedral of light action

How to play single player in this game?

Guy I used to play AO with was remastering this for a LAN or solo play. SATURN had redone a lot of the original maps, and art work making it look sharp. Even got it to work in solo mode, before the powers that be shut him down.

Does it matter? Warcraft was going to be a Warhammer title, and Starcraft was going to be a Star Wars title, but Blizzard did not get licensing for Warhammer so made Warcraft, and wanted Starcraft to go in another direction (not star wars)

This is truely sad. With players offering to remake and port the game to higher engines, for free, or make a total converstion, FOX shuts them down. Yet; they can't make a good ALIENS game if it was chucked at them like a brick to the head without severly fucking it up, or dropping the ball. >:/

@GarryRat Guy I knew in game by the handle SaturnXO was skinning a MOD for Half-Life, to resurrect the game. He got most the maps done, and all the characters before hitting the financial, and FOX's legal walls.

Damn shame cause there's a bunch of us that still miss AO badly.
