the evo X was a GSR aka 5 speed... and to harris1169... if you wanna come to the next race thats fine, i used to own a "neon" too... hahahaha, and to chrisevolution8, thank you for the kind words... for the record a little update, my evo went 12.1 @ 113 first pass first time out, took 2nd place at Evo vs STi Day, which was 95 degree weather, 1.8 60', spinning 1st gear.... going for the top 20 fastest stock turbo evo list ! wish me luck

The car was stock turbo over the spring and went 11.8's trapping 118 all day. IMO, thats a strong street car. Set something up for after the holidays man I have no problem coming out and running. Run what you brung.

i wasnt saying any evo drivers are scared of a 11 sec srt. shit ill take the mid 12 sec stock turbo evo over the 11 sec srt on the streets all day if im putting my money on it.

half the time the srt wont hook on the street. i was running high 11's with no tune, no ecu, stock fmic/im/tb/exhaust mani/88k turbo and trans. no suspension mods, just slicks. to say there was more left in it before i switched setups is an understatement

But you have no tune, no supporting mods and stock turbo and you run high 11's?

A high octane tune is a must to run those numbers with stock turbo.

It was a nitrous setup stock turbo at that point last year. 75 shot/24.5" slick/adjustable wga/exhaust. Stock ecu holding me under 20psi with fuel cut, stock suspension etc.i had the mph for mid 11's but never dialed in the 2 step

Honestly its almost 2010 dude, a bolt on/tuned evo 9/10 should have no problem running 11's, let alone trapping upwards of 115 with some race gas tossed into the mix.

Evo 9 SE vs Evo 9 MR....Who wins?

They are the same car only difference is the 5 vs 6 speed. Stock for stock the MR should edge out the SE due to closer gear ratios. Getting closer to 120 trap speeds the MR and 9 is general with have to shift one more time so the SE should win that one.

Getting closer to 130 MPH an Evo 8 should win because the 4th gear is longer and they won't have to shift into 5th to get to 130 on stock gear ratio within the stock turbo's efficiency range.

it the x was a mr then it is limited to 50% power during a launch . the stock clutch is only good for about 350hp . i hope these guys werent dumb enough to get the paddle shifting bullshit
