Yogis and Hindus are angry that western culture is bringing Christianity into yoga or yoga into Christianity. They specifically say the two cannot mix, that yoga cannot be sanitized and mixed with christianity. It's easy to find, do a bit of research on the Internet. There should be a true concern with a believer practicing yoga, but from the excerpt, brother Bell simply used it as a metaphor. Knowing about a thing doesn't mean a person practices a thing. Further, since we want to be so biblical. The bible says if we have an ought with a brother WE ARE SUPPOSED TO GO TO THAT PERSON. Mt. 18:15-17. Although the context in this verse is on personal offenses, the principle is the same. If you really love brother Bell go to him FIRST. Then bring a few pastors.

what concerns me is that there is a great deal of finger pointing at rob bell, but i have yet to hear a sound bite that actually goes against the teachings of christ. is "slow your breathing and meditate on the love Christ has for you" as evil as he gets? i have yet to hear him say that one can reach God any other way than through Jesus... where do i find those quotes? if we truly love one another (including Christ) as christ loved us, will we not make it to God's presence?

This is silly. I've taken one yoga class in my life and all I ended up doing is praying and talking to God bcuz it was so peaceful and easy to think and mediate on his word. He is a good man and his writings and movies have been very inspiring instead of this lady who uses her outlet to stir up chaos instead of teaching and inspiring. And nooma isn't just cool and hip or whatever its creative and a powerful tool to help young christians...and old for that matter. You can make anyone soune bad

What is the basis, the very foundation of Christianity, if not the Bible? If you deny biblical truth, what's left? The writings of 'Christian' mystics who wrote of experiences? Such writings deal w/ mystic experiences of Church fathers- how is this relevant to the Bible? How can we know such mystic beliefs are true? We can be deceived by experiences. The Bible is God's inspired Word. Rob Bell speaks of yoga, but even hatha yoga (exercises) is deeply Hindu, contrary to Jesus and His teachings.

Oh yeah no bigger right- I mean same low impact effect when Bell hires Shane Hipps who states all clear as I have ever heard or read in black and white, that all paths lead to God.
