I don't understand all the hate toward the movie. The books are horribly padded to the point of criminal prosecution. Truthfully, Roran gets the more interesting things to do. Having seen the movie before I read the books, I found the movie to be entertaining if derivative. Yes, compromises were made for time and because what works in a book doesn't always work on screen.

It's a little bit mature (Uses swears, has several sex scenes and has gore) and it's called A Song Of Ice And Fire by George R.R. Martin. His first book "A Game Of Thrones" was made into a TV show on HBO so you might recognize it but I highly suggest reading it. It isn't a good or bad story, it's like real life and you won't know who to root for.

IMO, this trailer is fantastic. The music goes well, and the scenes fit, even if they're from other movies; because obviously, they can't be from eldest :p and to all those others: 20th century fox held a press conference shortly after the release of the movie. They had never intended on creating a sequel, nor do they intend to now. Therefore certain events would be irrelevant, like solembum, as they become more important in the next book(s)
I seriously doubt they're even going to TRY to make a movie out of Eldest, after how badly they butchered Eragon. Feel free to prove me wrong as you like, though.

Did the directors even READ the book? Did Paolini even ALLOW the movie to be like this? I wish someone had the email of the director of Eragon, so I can tell what a piece of s*** Eragon the movie is.
If they do any more movies based off of the Inheritance Cycle, they should redo the first one. The only way they can repair the plot they screwed up is to screw it up further. I hate to sound pessimistic, but optimism should never be an excuse for entertaining fantasy. Oh, and at the end of Eragon, I really hope the dragon that they showed for no reason was black, I can't remember, but I thought that it was the dragon seen on the front of Eldest.
well if they make a sequel they could maybe add a few parts that was in book one just due to the fact when Roran comes back and how he is going to find out where Eragon is and if he is still alive it maybe complicated to mix some things up from 1st book to 2nd but it could still work out i wouldn't hold down the idea just yet

Eldest must be made, movies very rairley stick to books and to make a movie such as Eragon is hard enough one cannot have all aspects in a movie from a book, as for sequels look at the botched result from the remake of Clash of The Titans.

ok so we all know this is clips from other movies but if you think about the actual 2nd book these clips follow it nicely. Like the chapter about riding the Boar's Eye Michelle used that scene from the pirates of the caribean at worlds end so ya good job

IMO, this trailer is fantastic. The music goes well, and the scenes fit, even if they're from other movies; because obviously, they can't be from eldest :p and to all those others: 20th century fox held a press conference shortly after the release of the movie. They had never intended on creating a sequel, nor do they intend to now. Therefore certain events would be irrelevant, like solembum, as they become more important in the next book(s)

If they do any more movies based off of the Inheritance Cycle, they should redo the first one. The only way they can repair the plot they screwed up is to screw it up further. I hate to sound pessimistic, but optimism should never be an excuse for entertaining fantasy. Oh, and at the end of Eragon, I really hope the dragon that they showed for no reason was black, I can't remember, but I thought that it was the dragon seen on the front of Eldest.

well if they make a sequel they could maybe add a few parts that was in book one just due to the fact when Roran comes back and how he is going to find out where Eragon is and if he is still alive it maybe complicated to mix some things up from 1st book to 2nd but it could still work out i wouldn't hold down the idea just yet

Eldest must be made, movies very rairley stick to books and to make a movie such as Eragon is hard enough one cannot have all aspects in a movie from a book, as for sequels look at the botched result from the remake of Clash of The Titans.
and let's face it there are too few good dragon movies around, this one of the best.

Are they EVER going to even make the stupid movie??? The first one was awful, but, I mean, they might as well finish the series. Maybe they can call in a GOOD director who can try to put the story back together. Then again, the book of Eldest had very little story. I think they could probobly combine Eldest and Brisingr and make it a trilogy.
