This is another miracle in Israel. It is a large enough airport to handle everyone. There is a beautiful walkway when you land, and the atrium and its amazing waterfall are worldclass and above. The only bottleneck is the security screening upon exiting the country, and we know who have have to thank for that bit of unpleasantness.

Sometimes I think the most memorable part of my only trip to Israel in 1985 was the arrival at the old Terminal 1 of Ben Gurion Airport. I love this airport. I cried like a baby at this airport. I can't stop watching this video.

Reminds me all my trips to Israel, and my last one for Pessah '08. I laughed when I saw the airport's ceiling because now it's full of balloons that the children did not hold strong enough and flew in the air making so beautiful colours on that ceiling !!

One of the most beautiful airports I have ever seen. Not as large as Heathrow (London), but definitely more impressive. It's fascinating to see the construction video. In operation, this airport is efficient, although large, and easy to navigate... Now if only Israelis could be taught how to form a queue... ;-)
