i just extended by urban garden to almost 1800' square. i'll be selling tomatoes and herbs. i live in pittsburgh, btw. i just started "pitchforking" it all up. i may also sell sour cherries, as we get far too many. i'm also building a cob bread oven to give some pizza slices away (to boost sales).
Holy crap I am totally impressed! Good job there with your garden. Keep us updated and good luck. I am adding more pots to my garden since our growing season starts rather late.
Tomatoes and strawberries seem to sell the best from what I've seen at our local organic markets.
Strawberries send out TONS of runners. Just a few strawberry plants will turn into dozens and dozens the next year. It's a pyramid effect of great fruit and money. :) I just love your insanely long growing season. lol
WOW! You are fearless and full of workable ideas! The setup is impressive and from what I see, it's gonna work fine. I have no idea if you know, but to expand your tomatoes and to save money, you can take clippings from them and propagate into more containers. Saves money on buying more tomato plants. The whole "homegrown organic" aspect will absolutely be a selling bonus. You're also teaching your son some great values & techniques for his future. I can't wait for updates. :)
Amazing! Love your planning & your set-up.

It gets better and better. Awesome. By the way, How do you deal with the insects? I like the way you did the watering system.

Kudos! Nice work Adam. Did you add any Epson Salt to the tomato soil?

So glad to see your considerable progress. Your set up is impressive. I'm looking to do something similar here in GA. Good luck in the New Year!
