A separate question. Do you have experience with the usb solar chargers you also sell (you have them sold with this light as a bundle on going gear.com)?
How well do they work and how durable and lasting are they. While I don't like that the ITP light only has one mode it would still be excellent for long term survival use if there is no power for a long time.
@martinaee I have one myself and love it. It charges on minimal light and has enough capacity to charge my cell phone and other small devices. I actually did a review on that kit as well if you want to see that.
I was blown away by this light---- until I saw it was single mode. If it had dual output (20 lumens low mode) then this light would be spectacular.
Do you guys at going gear know of something similar to this light that does have a low mode of 10-30 lumens apart from the brighter mode? The concept of this is great. I wish a company like Fenix would implement it into a good quality light. It still is good though as it could be used with usb solar chargers. What is the price of this on your site?
@goingprepared I'm surprised it's rated @ ipx8 even with the back charging port only covered by that rubber insert but maybe even if water got there they designed it only to be touching sealed metal.

How long (how many recharges) will the "special Li-ion battery last & can the battery be replaced - or is this a $50 throwaway?

@richadNtexas They are rated for 500 charges. They are not made to be replaced.

is it water proof
TheWheatenezequiel 9 months ago
@TheWheatenezequiel It is water resistant to IPX8 like most of our lights. It will handle rain and a light dunking, but you can't go diving with it.

Got one of the first ones of these. Love it. Cheap, nice, small, bright and can be charged anywhere. I can highly recommend it.
