is it stupid for me to have a two-handed forehand? i pretty much never play tennis, but when i do, it's the only way i can have some tiny bit of accuracy
the racket speed that he plays with during practice is still immense, normally players slow it down and just try to get nice rhythm in practice. especially federer he is just so chilled. ive got similar vids of both guys on my channel.
@2435chafro so true, nadal by far has the ugliest most boring bland game out of all the great slam winners in history. this guy is so low on talent that it's painfully obvious he's roiding. when it's all said and done if he ends up with more slams than federer i will disown tennis as a sport and no longer acknowledge its existence. never seen a sport that allows such talentless mundanes to succeed so much.
@Swordsman808 im a huge federer fan but when it comes down to it nadal is number one right now because he is playing better than federer right now and i find it very weird how your calling the number one tennis player in the world talentless when, if you play tennis, you could never be as good as him in your life
@2435chafro there may be a lot of people out there who could never succeed at tennis as much as the baboon (myself included), but I bet a helluva lot of them wouldn't have such ugly, boring, one-dimensional, need-a-crapload-of-roids-to-win type of games!
@Swordsman808 whats with you and steroids? do you know for a fact hes on steroids? if not then your argument makes no sense and I don't see how rafa plays "ugly" everyone has their own playing style. he plays powerfully while federer plays with finese.
@2435chafro nadal more powerful than federer? federer averages way more velocity and penetration on his serve and forehand. federer attacks, stays close to the baseline and comes in off great serves and approaches whenever the opportunity arises and wins by racking up winners. nadal relies on faggoty girly spin to hit awkward bouncing balls to his opponents' backhands 90% of the time and earns points by waiting for his opponents to screw up. ugly talentless tennis bad for the game.
@Swordsman808 that "faggoty" spin is hip rotation that is crucial to any forehand and nadal hits just as hard if not harder than federer. i dont know what you mean by awkward bounces but if he does do them then thats why hes winning and thats a strength. hitting to backhands is a strategy and obviously its working very well and if he wins because his opponents screw up it just means that hes the not one not messing up making him the more consistant player.
@2435chafro nadal hits harder than federer? lol. for all the huzzah made about his stupid one big roided bicep (his other arm is a faggoty little bitcharm), the guy has one of the most pathetic serves of any all time great. moonballs his forehand, moonballs his backhand. federer just aces the shit outta you and hits screaming winners. he's off the court in under two hours winning 7-5 7-5. where the baboon takes over two hours to win 6-0 6-0. ugly, painful, monotonous, drawnout, and predictable.
@JxCxGriffin its something to do with the camera angle...things moving towards or away dont seem to move that fast because you can constantly track it....side on your eyes have trouble adjusting to the movement so it appears faster...or the real speed
Having seen both guys live back-to-back, Nadal's forehand is like a cannonball. You can literally see the heaviness of it and imagine the nasty tennis elbow the average person would get hitting against it. Although sometimes it gets kind of weak and shallow. Federer's is like a bullet. It was more beautiful to look at and zipped through the court faster and more smoothly. He made more errors, though. Nadal has the better forehand these days, but Federer's when he's at his best is unmatched.
I like Nadal a lot, mostly 'Cause I hit my forehands and backhands very similar to his. But what kind of disturbs me is (after turning on 720p HD.. (off topic but i paused it once after he hit the ball and i could almost read what type of ball it was lol) i noticed that on forehands he had to run for to get... He has his right foot on its side (like at 4:34). It just concerns me, I had a friend almost break his ankle due to having his foot sideways).
@chrism4n14 i completely agree with you in the face that our ankles are probably not meant to perform like this, especially with the weight of our bodies adding to the stress. However, like many, Nadal has a majority of his weight on his left leg, trremendously reducing the stress on his ankle.
@foritisi the reason players having a hard time with nadal is because nadal's top spin is just too much and it bounces high and when it bounces it accelerates more.
Everyone always says how Fed's strokes are so beautiful and his game is so elegant and artistic (which is true) and Rafa's is so boorish, mundane, workmanlike. But Nadal's technique is amongst the best on tour. Second to Federer IMO. I can name droves of pros with uglier strokes (not that Rafa's strokes are ugly, I actually find them the most technically correct next to Federer). @Swordsman808 yes sir, on hardcourts flatter hard pace does so much more damage. the speed this kid has is insane though, makes up for the lack of raw pace on those moonballs he hits to the one handers backhands
@cj397 Funny, I never really considered Nadal a moonballer. And he definitely isn't one day. Amazingly, he's able to hit with both phenomenal pace as well as spin, a deadly combination. Usually one must compromise for the other, but apparently not in Rafa's case. Nadal has improved his flat shots tremendously as well.
lmao....... wooooo!! lol its not competetive he just wants to rally. its probably just an assigned hitting partner whos no where near the top 100 and theyre getting excited. but asside from that great camera angle.. you can see the way nadal changes the racquet for different spins
@TheDaltan14 the thing is, during the us open this year he changed his grip to almost a semi western, which is a very difficult thing to do, thus allowing some people to think of him as a genius at tennis, considering hes naturally right handed also
so this sounds like a stupid question but uh... how come when pros play the court looks soooo much bigger? are there different regulations for size on a pro court? O.o...
@myungsupah lol it kinda is. haha. its cuz of the angle of the camera. its high up, so it looks bigger. just like in soccer, the field looks bigger on tv, but in real life, its a lot smaller. its the same size tho.

I never noticed it before, but during this practice, Nadal doesn't appear to have good footwork moving forward with the backhand. Look at 1:42. You can almost tell he's trying to use forehand footwork with the front foot hop.
Federer has the most amount of topspin on his forehand next to Nadal. Fed's forehand is better because he can hit both flat and topspin. It's considered to be the greatest forehand of all time.
Yeah, the racket has little to do with the whole spin pop whatever business. Although ig the frame can affect it, just not to the extent that form or even just the strings have on it.
Most of that insane topspin is due to Nadal's full western forehand grip and the rest is due to his follow through and wrist action going from below the ball and coming over it.
You are an idiot mcquicker. Stop being an old retard and accept the fact that Rafa is a legend. IT'S ALL HIM STOP SAYING SHIT ABOUT THE RAQUET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@hateNadalll I am letting everyone know that the user 'federerbestclass' and the user 'hateNadalll' (who posts stupid comments about hating nadal)- are the SAME PERSON. They posted to me a list of all the things Nadal does that they dont like, guess what, it was the exact same list (with broken english) that febbestclass posted to me!!!. they give themself thumbs up to look good. Very disrespectful and arrogant person!!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Get yourselves a snow shoe for tennis racquet, like Nadal, and you'll soon be hitting the same kind of top spin. Nadal owes his game to his super tech raquet. Period. Just like Connors with his T-2000 and that other snow shoe Chang used.
@mcquicker, what a load of crap you just said, Nadal owing his tospin to his raquet?? Stupidest thing I've ever heard!! If that was true anyone who bought his raquet would be hitting that amount of topspin(obviously not true), besides, anyone who knows about raquets(which you obvioulsy don't) knows that the more you adjust your raquet to create spin(loosenning string tension or using a more opened string pattern) the more control you lose, and Nadal's control is exceptional!! Is ALL TECHNIQUE!!!

i prefer rafas forehand over federers because federer hits more of a flat ball and doesnt generate as much pace and spin
delmar1985 1 year ago
Yeah, the racket has little to do with the whole spin pop whatever business. Although ig the frame can affect it, just not to the extent that form or even just the strings have on it.

perhaps my theory is wrong. but maybe because of the clay court season
but true. i was wrong
but im worried after wimbeldon
halo0407 1 year ago
Most of that insane topspin is due to Nadal's full western forehand grip and the rest is due to his follow through and wrist action going from below the ball and coming over it.

Get yourselves a snow shoe for tennis racquet, like Nadal, and you'll soon be hitting the same kind of top spin. Nadal owes his game to his super tech raquet. Period. Just like Connors with his T-2000 and that other snow shoe Chang used.
mcquicker 1 year ago
@mcquicker, what a load of crap you just said, Nadal owing his tospin to his raquet?? Stupidest thing I've ever heard!! If that was true anyone who bought his raquet would be hitting that amount of topspin(obviously not true), besides, anyone who knows about raquets(which you obvioulsy don't) knows that the more you adjust your raquet to create spin(loosenning string tension or using a more opened string pattern) the more control you lose, and Nadal's control is exceptional!! Is ALL TECHNIQUE!!!
