film wasn't as good as the books, but it wasn't meant to be the same.

the radio and tv series' were all different on purpose. douglas adams made them that way.

but i have to say that the actors fit the characters quite well, especially with mos def as ford prefect and stephen fry as teh narator.

Such a great movie. It's actually okay that it doesn't resemble the book much because Douglas Adams made each version of the story different on purpose so that people would go crazy trying to figure out the official canon (if there even is one).
