I highly suggest that DFP will encourage their employees to take this seminar. Unless of course they simply do NOT care about their employees protection.

A lot of manufacturing companies do that for the simple reason that labor is cheap in certain countries. Would you agree that SONY products made in the Philippines (by Filipinos) or those made in China are substandard in comparison with those made in the US? The materials are the same, but the cost of production is not.

I highly suggest that DFP will encourage their employees to take this seminar. Unless of course they simply do NOT care about their employees protection.
Union leaders, force the DFP management to give your members the seminar for free. Unless of course you are not interested in educating and training your people.
EDUCATING and TRAINING your employees will definitely protect them, your customers, and your business as well.

jenjenbaile, personally, I believe you do not belong to the sector or class that Mr. Fajardo's clothing line cater. That goes to the majority of individuals commenting on this site claiming to have not heard of of him and his stores. Honestly, in my opinion, you and the majority of people in here are not a loss to this guy's business earnings. Even the petition to ban his products will not, as it will only bring together a group of individuals that are NOT his customers in the first place.

Yes I'm not a loss to him ,he got rich by retagging cheap clothes from China Pakistan or India and selling it as his RTW line, and besides he don't have any stores here in us. People back home really don't realize before that they are buying a Boyet Fajardo when they bought Substance and I think that's hat you called a "Generic" brand.

jenjenbaile, wat I really meant was that Mr. Fajardo is not known to a sector of people that are not interested with this designs. On the other hand, he is a well-known designer to a sector or class of individuals that marvels with the works he produce. Do you sincerely think he'd make it big and acquire several stores if he doesn't sell his products well?
If the guy produces awful designs, then how come he got wealthy selling them?

nike, adidas, puma, etc. are generic names for shoes and are well known to the majority. Ever heard of Manolo Blahnik brand of shoes?
Seiko, tag, rolex, etc. are also generics and well know by the public. Ever heard of Vacheron Constantin Swiss (1755) Tour de l'Ile?
This is the same with the fashoin industry. Ever heard of Christian Lacroix, Alexander McQueen, or Miuccia P.?
Generic names are well-known, branded ones are limited to the few and oftentimes the elite.

cocrixs, I do agree with you that the atittude Mr. Fajardo displayed that day was not correct. But still the incident could have been prevented if only DFP had trained and educated their employees and staff properly and well.

cocrixs, there is always a Mr. Fajardo out there. Either an irritated OFW who just got fired from work and sent home without a penny or another rich personality who got stuck in the immigration section for several hours. These stressed out persons are potentially combative customers. Can DFP protect their employees from them? Are they equipped to handle possible difficult confrontations/situations? How? by acquiring more advance CCTV's and upgrading their internet connections to DSL?
