Hi, im staying here in April next year. Can you give me an idea on prices within the hotel for drinks etc???. Weve already booked half board so meals are taken care of. We've booked a Premier Water Chalet and CANT WAIT TO GO!!!
@MCharlton79 Well, prices in hotel lobby-lounge, pool bar, etc were reasonably at all. Eg.10-15 MYR for a cocktail, drink... But, sometimes it is much better to catch a taxi to Pantai Cenang and there you can have twice cheaper (and twice better) meals and drinks. We did it all the time. Dont go for a food to Telaga harbour - extremly expensive! Also, option without taxi is walk to Oriental village and have amazing and cheap food.
Your accomodation should be amazing! Enjoy at LGK... !
I like your Malaysia videos. I am going myself in October, but I don't know if I should come here to Berjaya, which is cheaper, or maybe treat myself to 2 nights at The Datai, which would cost me nearly £350 per night! Hmmm...
@LeeClaxton Thanx, I am sure you wont regret if you stay here. This is really wonderful resort with very helpful staff. If you want really to feel like a king book higher class of room that could be cheaper that 350 £...
I would like to hear your impressions when you come back...
@voja2000 ok maybe I will tay here at Berjaya, but can you give me advice on bugs/snakes/spiders/monkeys? Do you get creepy bugs and deadly spiders in your rooms in this resort?
@LeeClaxton Well, I didnt see any spiders over there. Many people write about "army of bugs/ants" in their rooms, but we really have not experience nothing worth our attention. Those "ants" actually I believe are not ants but some kind of 100% harmless midges and you can find them anywhere in the island. Not a problem at all. Snakes we didnt see any. Locals said it is rare to see snakes if you dont go deep into the woods, but you really dont have even one reason to do that.
@LeeClaxton Well, the monkeys..... also 100% harmless but just keep your doors and windows closed as they like to steal your stuff. I have had funny experience: we bought fresh bananas at banana-farm and just after started to eat it on balcony, 1 monkey jumped and stole all of the fruit. It was really funny watching monkey eat our bananas, but nothing to worry.
