Mandriva 2008 Spring Quick Install

if you want to install 64 bit Mandriva using virtualbox there are 2 ways:

1/ your base (host) must be 64 bit OS and install the 64 bit version of virtualbox

2/ try using virtualbox 2.1 cause only starting of this version, virtualbox supports 64 bit guest on 32 bit host.

there is no worry to partition hard disc for windows dual boot, most modern linux distro come in with guided tool.

Yes you can use Synaptics to install third party program, since Mandriva is RPM package distribution based, you can also uses RPM packages besides MDK packages.
