  • Lucinda Williams WROTE this song....

  • The "beautiful" Lucinda? That's like not calling Willie Nelson a joke. It's a terrific song, though. Listen to the studio version w/ all the reverb & w/out Willie to ruin it. Would someone tell Nelson it's cool & all to play an ancient, battered guitar. But not when it's been out of tune for decades.

  • @bconigliaro time for you to go make the french fries

  • She's cool...

  • No NKYgirl, you're not the only one to notice that the great Lucinda was stoned out of her mind.

  • @constance0920 LW has been drunk for years.

  • @SecsSells so what

  • Lucinda looks naked without her guitar

  • I presume Lucinda wrote that gem. Sounds like a Lucinda tune and she wasn't reading the lyrics. I'm fascinated by singers who, though accepted and even acclaimed, can't really sing all that well - Keith, Neil etc.

  • @Sointula2 Willie Nelson wrote this song.

  • @moose0drool No, Lucinda wrote this.

  • @Sointula2 Keith, Neil, Springsteen, Tom Waits - rough voices - maybe it can be hard to call them "singers" BUT their voices are like an instrement in the song. Those voices add to the song. Could you hear a guy with an incredible voice like Raul Malo singing Born To Run or Copperhead Road? I think those "gravely" voices give the song a "tone", a feeling, a setting a "vision" of the song. Just an opinion, just an idea.

  • For those feeling lonely, a beautiful duet of a sad song. Thank you Willie & Lucinda.

  • Thank God for youtube and the people who post stuff or we would not hear some of the Great talent from the USA....This girl sounds as if she can't sing at first but then you realise she can.....and brilliantly..I heard her for the first time this morning singing 'gentle on my mind and just loved it...she has a sort of slow vibrato in her voice which caught me off guard....willie ...as always...is a genius and my favourite artiste....from England....thank you for posting this wonderful song.

  • Willie is the love of my life!! LOL And Lucinda is great but boy she was LIT during that performance am I the only one to notice?? LOL

  • made me sad to think that someday we are going to lose Willie ,He is just one of a kind He's getting up there but , he still has the magic . Lucinda !!!! just raw real talent

  • go, palomino.

  • wow!

  • Lucinda looks hot!

  • I love both of these singers individually, but I was a bit underwhelmed by this collaboration, doesn't seem like their spirits/voices match well on this song, doesn't seem to find either one of them anywhere near their best.

  • @pjchmiel I'm not a huge fan of a number of Willies collabs, however I love both these artists individually....Lucinda is one of my fave female singers, and sometimes I think legends need to collide..

  • I love both of these singers individually, but I was a bit underwhelmed by this collaboration, doesn't seem like their spirits/voices match well on this song.

  • "your pale skin and your sexy crooked teeth, the trouble you get in. I'll get over you, over time".

Heartfelt lyrics and perfect accompaniment by Mr. Nelson. Lucinda Williams is the salt of the earth. Go on ya good thing.

  • @ispinimor coudn't have said it better, ur righton! 5/5
