The one thing I really like about youtube is that I can search for lathe,turning,milling, drilling etc, and find all sorts of genius stuff like this. I really like seeing other peoples solutions to fixing problems. I like it even better when people have not just spent bucket fulls of money to achieve a satifactory result. Sure, you can go and buy a chinese cnc machine or sub contract the job out, but where's the fun in that? Thumbs up from me. Thanks

Oh and by the way....not all of us are living like pigs....what I can't understand is how come an Asian like yourself is knocking the USA on a youtube comment section?
I am a hobbyist - I do not work in industry. I make parts for antique motorcycles, usually one-offs and prototypes. My manual lathe serves me and my friends well. Commercial shops are usually too expensive or don't want to deal with such small numbers. The piece being machined in the video is one of the few things I make in quantity, usually a run of 12 or so.And I've found that I can do almost anything that a CNC machine can do on my manual lathe.
@dmtau Easy there, friend. I am an American by birth; my father was a US Navy Chaplain in WWII. I'm an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA) with almost 30 years' service. I work 60 hours/week and am on call 24/7. I've earned 2 degrees but make less money than the guy who sits and watches a CNC machine spit out widgets. My shop is for my own enjoyment and to help my friends restore their antique American motorcycles, not to make money. Try being less judgemental. You'll be happier.
