i dont want to get into a fight, but have you heard of globalization? i am heavily tattooed, japanese traditional style, and i dont have any type of jap blood in me...but somehow, since i remember being me, i always loved everything japanese...tattoos, women, the culture, the country, their belief in honour, buddhism, martial arts, Bushido, samurais...and yet i'm from the western country of motherfuckin europe, portugal...
(cont) by the way you think, black people should be in africa, asian should get back to their asian countries, all of Latin America should come back to Spain and Portugal, the USA citizens should get back to england and the entire american continent should be left to the natives...and by the way...your nick is "blablabla GRAFFITI" are you a black dude? or white? cause graffiti is a part of hip hop, traditionally from the black culture...(continue)
(cont 2) and you know that also a part of the african black culture is the face tattooing, neck stretching, scarification, branding, women genital mutilation...
so, are you white with a black culture based nick, are you black, without your true culture...are you latin???
think about it man, i would like to know what you think..keep it cool brother...or sis...
i doubt that anyone that has japanese tattoos, or any other traditional tattoos, as in my case that have japanese tattoos, and i also have the traditional head hunter's borneo roses on my shoulders, think of them as his/her own culture...in my case at least, and in the majority of cases that i know particulary, we do it as a sign of respect for the culture, because i actually studied the meaning of my tattoos, because i get tattoos not for fashion, but for the art.
yeah he still does tattoos but he is highly in demand. he has 3 apprentices who also tattoo amazingly well. i have his number but they dont speak english just a few words. u want it?
@redblazerpea hell yes I want it! You can message me man... I hope im not asking too much... but could you give me the names of his apprentices as well? If I can't get an appointment with him I'll give them a try.
@redblazerpea hey dude, you seriously have any contact information? im only 18(learning japanese) but im planning to trip to japan in a few years so, if im lucky enough to get accepted , i can book myself in till i arrive at japan when im 20
tebori is hard to find in the states but some people practice it as a artistic outlet a little more then how they would normally approach tattoos on a regular basis, but they would prob charge normal rates (100-300$ an hour) but mind you that tebori takes alot of time, expecially to the unexperianced..go to a tattoo convention and ask around someones bound to do it...
OO, also i discovered that Horiyoshi III is actually swifter and not always SO expensive, sometimes people finish getting a sleeve from him for only 4000 dollars
Uhm, yes he does outline. You can't just walk into his studio and get a badass tattoo. A long time of preparation and conversation is needed to discover which desing the customer will get. It is al planned, and if you don't believe me, get the Wanzakure book, it is a beautiful photobook of a Horiyoshi III tattoo, from beginning untill end
i got a sleeve tattoo based on a horiyoshi design. it starts from wrist to shoulder and i have had 4 2 hour sessions and i need two more to finish it.
horiyoshi 3 has a studio in yokohama as does his students in the yokohama tatto musuem i think and he also happily tattoos foreigners no problem. so if u guys are in yokohama check him out, but his studio is known to be very hard to find as it is in a small alleyway.
@redblazerpea do you know how much he charges? say i wanted to get chest and quarter sleeve done...how much would that cost roughly? 12-15000 australian?
Full body tattoos can take 2-3 years if painting every 2 weeks and could cost about 10 000e - 50 000e (15 000$ - 80 000$). Im not sure but that's what i've heard.
Whos playing that incredible music??
