  • Dont worry - my handling isnt the best either - watch the video I've attatched!!

These sound grand but are supposed to be notoriously difficult, like you said, because of frame movement. Which one were you ringing?

  • @simonbellringer ,

I've improved mine loads since then,

I was ringing the 3rd and did find it quite difficult hence the failing lol

  • Those must of been SO scary to ring.

  • Have you two got any idea of the cost of a ring of bells?

  • LOL, yeah, our barn is easily big enough for a ring like that too

  • we have a small stone shed-type building built into our garden wall and I keep asking if we can install a small 6 (probably not room for any more) so if Father Christmas is watching this video, please can I have a small ring of bells! Thank you :)

  • hohoho! xD

that would be good, not proper bells, but buckets with concrete like at john and jans house? I think the neighbours wouldn't be very happy otherwisee!!

  • I went to the practice last July and it was an utterly amazing experience, the ringers were all really nice and welcoming - which is not the case with some brilliant ringers!! Mark asked me to ring the tenor for one burst of call changes :D

  • Yes, did you get a ring at the teaching centre under the ringing room? that was very fun playing around with the sounds.. it didnt quite work when they were doing stedman cinques on only 8 bells!

  • There was a group of us, a few of us had a go at some rounds - I got about 10% error, another lad got about 15% and the rest of the ringers were almost off the scale...
