  • @kb3gjp123 That's when you pop off the cap and look right?

  • @kb3gjp123 it has a light that goes on when you are running out of fuel

  • does this bike have a gas gauge?

  • haha this guy mustve been a radio host or tv host...such a smooth talker & very detailed hahahaaaa

  • IT'S A 4 CYCLE ENGINE DOES NOT NEED OIL AND GAS MIX

  • very manly.

  • you do not need a liscense to drive it at all just sayin

  • If you put narrower tires on it, it would have better top speed and acceleration.

  • @ML424wr and if you put narrower tires on it, it would handle very badly

  • do you have to mix oil with the gasoline when you are at the gas station?

  • @kosmosleha No the Ruckus has a four stroke engine which means it runs on regular gasoline.

  • why would you buy a vesba 280cc that looks dumb when you could buy a ninja 250r for 3999 it has a top speed of 110 and looks cool and is more fun to ride and

  • Man, I miss my Ruckus. '09, like yours but in red. I had a Fugeddaboudit lock, must've weighed 30 pounds on its own. Now I'm saving my pennies for a Kawasaki KLR650 (and a Yaesu FTM-10SR to go with it).

  • it's 49cc

  • that's the same exact Ruckus that I want, black

  • thank you for the tour :)

  • Your knowledge would be appreciated at RuckNation, com

  • Top speed on a de-restricted one is 42MPH. Adding a Variator, High prreformance Filter, Rev limited and Performance Exhaust would make it to 47MPH.

  • Top speed on a de-restricted one is 442MPH. Adding a Variator, High prreformance Filter, Rev limited and Performance Exhaust would make it to 47MPH.

  • @kb3gjp123 You could save all the money on performance gadgets for the Ruckus and just buy a crotch rocket instead.

  • @scooterboy1337 tell ur parents more power on the streets isn't a bad thing. being able to go only 30 mph can be really stressful when everyone else drives about 50. what scooter exactly do you want to de-restrict?

  • this was my dream scooter, but i ended up getting a 50 cc enduro/trial bike (Rieju Tango 50 -top speed- 52 mph with no mods :) )

  • Where can I get one

  • You said it doesn't need insurance? i thought it does...?

  • @fatal1tykid for a moped engein size over 50cc you need all that stuff he said the vespa is 270cc

  • Will definitely pass this on to all my friends

  • Comment removed

  • @blackviewboyz1 The Ruckus is 49 cc.

  • you think 42mph is fast?

  • Straight from Hondas website: Automatic V-Matic belt drive

  • I know what CVT is The Ruckus is nt CVT.

  • the only thing i dont like about this one is that it doesn't have storage and its not a 2 seater.

  • wow. in FL u have to have tags/plates/registration at least

  • nice i need one.

  • @multifill1 Ya me too!

  • First it tied bown to a tree with a criptanite lock. Second the kick start does not work without the key in the ignition in the on position.

  • if it has a kick start somebody can easily steal it.

  • even if it is automatic it still has gears, otherwise you wont be able to go past about 20mph. The automatic part just shifts the gears for you. Just thought you should know for later on

  • @englanmj Actually just so you know, if you look at the Honda website, and navigate to the Ruckus page, it says that its an automatic engine with belt transmition. Which translates to no gears, and hence the no gears, which means that there is no physical action required by the user to push or move any moving pieces or "gears" into position for the transmition, it is a "Gearless" scooter, which means the person who made the video is correct.

  • @Pibbmasta "which means that there is no physical action required by the user to push or move any moving pieces or "gears" into position for the transmition" Thats what the automatic engine does, it changes gears for you. Just like an automatic car. If the ruckus has no gears it wont be able to move, if it has one gear you will only be able to go about 20mph. I think what you mean to say is that it has no clutch

  • @englanmj Im not referring to the clutch, somewhat yes, but thats not the point. Its classified as a "gearless scooter". If you google "Honda Ruckus" or "Gearless Scooters", the honda ruckus, yamaha zuma, vespa, metropolitan ect, will all be there. There are actual pieces that could be seen as gears in the transmition, which is what i think youre referring to, but its not classified that way. Not trying to argue or anything, just trying to clarify whats being said.

  • @englanmj The Ruckus uses CVT=Continuously Variable Transmission. It does not operate with gears or clutch like in a manual or automatic transmission. It is a completely different type of transmission style that is belt driven that allows the "gear" ratio to constantly change rather than be fixed like a traditional style geared transmission.Look up CVT on youtube to see how they work.Snowmobiles have been using CVTs for years and consumer cars are starting to use them now as well.

  • @tronclay i was being sarcastic.

  • @Michaelientje i was being sarcastic, because this kid says the name of the scooter about 50 times.

  • Comment removed

  • hey what kind of scooter is this again?????

  • @unknownwizdom dude it says it in the title AND the description

    HONDA RUCKUS

  • @unknownwizdom ruckus aka zoomer build by honda, and read the title next time

  • Im getting one considering gas could be $5/gallon in a year.

  • 09 $2,800 new

  • @kb3gjp123 $2149 new for my 09 from

    honda

  • these things are sicky

how much did you pay for yours?

and could you put a surf rack on it?

  • Fuck all you haters. For now on I'm not deleting any comments. No I'm not Down, You just hate because I make grate video. BYE BYE

  • you sound like a downey

  • how likely in an officer to notice the motor isn't 50cc after a motor swap in one of these, I wonder. Just to the 125/150cc motors...

  • It's not ment for highway.

  • guys this scooter goes too slow for the roads in canada. most roads in canada are 50 kms and 60 km in the city. outisde city 70 80 90 100kms. wont i get pulled over if im going under the speed limit??

  • @DrumNBum he is talking about miles per hour not kilometers.

  • What state?

  • do u need a licence or just a permit

  • @TheMegaEnglishmuffin, it depends on where you live at, some state requires plates, insurance, and motorcycle endorsement, ohio, tennessee, florida, must have plates, classifies as a motorcycle, some other states classifies as a moped

  • In Ohio you only have to be 14 to get a license for one of these

  • nice vid. i'd prefer the ruckus over the vespa anyday; the vespa's excaust will get rusty quick.

  • gy6. Yes

  • there is a swap. i think its called the gy6??

  • In Maryland you need a drivers license to ride it so you have to be 16. I don't know what state your in?

  • You have to have a drivers license OR be over 16 or both?

  • @austinman1995 not really a major tune up just take it to the shop and ask them about it

  • @austinman1995 no thats bad. it usally take less than a minute

  • Not one of the slowest, but there are faster ones that are 2 stroke. Yamaha Zuma and Aprilia SR50 are faster with topspeed arund 48-50MPH.

  • for a 50cc, they are actually one of the slowest! haha but i still love my ruckus!

  • actualy Californias law is preaty good. Only state to allow lane spliting and if you buy a 3 wheels scooter or Motorcycle you only need a Driver License. No I'm not in California. You don't even watch the video.

  • all those laws??? where the fuck do you live?

  • @HeroOr0 California most likely, the laws suck ass here.

  • In the summer the Scoot should start with the touch of the button. In the winter were it goes below 40F it may take up to 3 tries to start the scooter and you may have to rev up the engine a dozon times , but no were close to 15 minutes.

  • kb3gip123 are you selling your ruckus? I am interested, I live in New Jersey

  • No sale

  • It's street legal in all 50 states. The only thing is some states allow you to ride it without tags, insurance motorcycle license and helmet and some do'nt.

  • Nice Vid!!! Are you aloud to ride it on the road? I've been thinking of buying a scooter. Just to get to school. So, yeah if you can please reply back. Thnx

  • in our state it is classified as a motercycle because it is over 2 horse power tht kinda sucks for me lol

  • why dont you just get a real bike?

  • look at the grass in the yard

  • I have added a Givi E30 30 liter topcase.

  • Im not too crazy about the Ruckus look, but judging by the tires those scooters look like they probably handle well. They dont look very functional since they dont have a trunk or rear rack although they probably have accessories.

  • I was skeptical in the very beginning of me learning about 50cc scooters, but after checking the Honda Ruckus and Metropolitan out more closely, I realized that the engine is of high quality. Liquid cooled!

  • Im 6'3 230lbs and i just baught one of these today for $1843.00 out the door with tags, insurance is 20 dollars a month full premium's.. Pretty excited i can finally let my cobalt ss take a break!

  • @XrJay03.... ya im of similar stature and im getting one too.

  • @ilovemaryam08 Im actully gonna sell it.. wonderful bike not one problem with it but i bought this hoping it would bring back the honda Ct70 trail days..but im all grown up Never have the time for it and i jus moved so its just sitting on my porch... 1200 bucks? 2009 2 months old 500 miles

  • @XrJay03 were do you live?

  • @kb3gjp123 Center county Pennsylvania

  • @XrJay03 Did you get my message? I'm interested in your ruckus if you're selling it. Check your inbox for my number.

  • @xxchink267xx Hey I'll get a hold of you later today i live in state college PA center county, PSU

  • @XrJay03 Cool my friend goes to Penn state there maybe he can come check it out or pick it up for me, just let me know. Thanks.

  • @XrJay03 Hey you never got back to me. Are you still selling the Ruckus? I have a friend that goes to Penn State main, let me know.

  • It all depends on your state. In Maryland 50cc need a Drivers license and eye protection only. Every state is diffrent. Some states classifie 50cc as Motorcycles and need tags, Helmeat, Issurance and Motorcycle license.

  • is this actually street legal? like in the U.S.

  • 42 mph max?! wtf i wanted one of these cus their sick as hell and its honda...but damn guess not

  • @low72 It's a 49cc scooter, what do you expect?

  • @bateryacidinc that u pay me

  • actually, the parts are made in japan, the bike was made at your dealership or whoever crated the bitch in.

  • jesus man, you can get a real scooter that will do 80 on the freeway like a Honda Reflex for the same price...

  • @imedbone

Yah USED not NEW, but good point.

  • nice review

  • Honda should have made this lil gem with an 80cc engine. Same price. I would have one by now.

  • Honda Ruckus "Made In China" What a tard. Really? News to me.

  • Yes the Motor is 3.5HP

  • Is the motor 3.5hp

  • A honda ruckus is made in china. Most chinese scooters have a honda motor, and they will go 43-50mph.

  • ummm... their definantly NOT made in china. They're made in japan, the Vin numbers starts with a "J"

  • fyi its 49cc

  • Wrong! Drivers license required and eye protection required.

  • In illinois a helmet is required in addition to eye protection. however the ruckus is not legal on interstates. And mine gets about 96mpg and drivers license is required

  • @08wallic

IL has NO motorcycle helmet law

  • @kb3gjp123 look it up. 16 no drivers license. no eye protection required.

  • @BaLLiNFaGGoT , eye protection is a must whether the law says so or not.

  • @kb3gjp123 maybe in your state

  • jonfredric1 if your interested I have like 5 or 6 other Ruckus videos. I also have plans to have a few more.

  • not the fastest 50cc out there, but for sure faster then a cheap chinesse junk. tops at 42MPH.

  • thanks for the vid yo, Im pumped to get one for Seattle when summer drops!!!!

  • I did not mean the Engine has to be on. I meant the ignition must be on

  • The kickstart is meant for if the Electric start faild. The Kickstart wont start without the engine on(key must be in)

  • why do yo need a key if you can just kickstarT?

  • In Maryland all you need is a drivers license and eye protection. Depends on your state. Some state classifie 49-50cc as Motorcycles others as Mopeds.

  • great review! I was wondering if it goes about as well as a peugeot blaster. Does anyone know?

  • In Maryland you have to be 16 no license required.. Eye protection is recommended but not mandatory. Where in Maryland are you from? I may be interested in possibly purchasing the ruckus if you are looking to sell.

  • But the Ruckus is a 49cc... not 50, huh??? Still need all that DMV crap!!??

  • Any scooter, Motorcycle or Moped over 50cc requires a Motorcycle license.

  • I live in maryland and its anything over and including 100cc requires a helmet and tags. my buddie had a 105cc scooter and it required tags but no helmet just goggles.

  • wats better a ruckus or a bws r

  • sat on one today.. £2000 including licence test.. but I think its alot smaller that most of the other scooters that I saw

  • You get 80 mpg? I've never gone below 95mpg.

  • My state says the same thing, but I found out if your state allows you to drive a 50cc with a drivers license or no license then your ok. I have been driving my Ruckus almost a year and I have no problem.

  • Since someone said it, Indiana if it's over 50cc, OR if it has over 2 hp, OR if it goes over 25 mph, it's considered a motorcycle. Tag, title, insur., motorbike license/endorsement. State police confirmed this, call 'em yourself! If anyone says otherwise, they're lying to make a sale, or they don't know the laws!

  • Isn't Twiggs in Hagerstown. No I got mine at Cycles USA in Montgomery county. They closed down in June after 19 years.

  • i have one of thoes . i got mine from twigg. is that where u got yours allso its a 2009 too and its red

  • In Indiana if your 15 or older all you need is a ID card to ride a 50cc or less scooter. If your under 18 a helmeat is required.

Anything over 50cc requires a Motorcycle license,

  • you got to have motorcycle license for this? in Indiana? Thank You!

  • good comment.

  • I've seen a guy riding about the streets on one of them here in Texas.

It's a cool lil' scoot, be great for teens to start motorcycling, cheap, too!

  • in missouri u only need a permit so u can be 15..

  • why are you talking soooo fast slow down damn,

  • Nice review

  • I was just reving it for the video. I normaly don't do that.

  • isnt hat wat i said?

  • hey, you shudnt rev ur scooter that much if its cold, that isnt good for your engine at all

  • In Maryland if it's under 50CC at any age all you need are Googles. Over 50cc at any age you ned a helmet.

  • hahaha how you talk is like someone typing without spacing!

    hahahahowyoutalkislikesomeonetypingwithoutspacing!

  • did u forget to take ur ritalin or wat?

  • hahaha, i was thinking the saaaaame thing.

  • Under the state of Maryland any Scooter or MotorCycle under 51cc does not require Tags, Insurance or Helmet(Only googles). Each State is diffrent. Most though only require if it's over 51cc or any CC.

  • yea but if you are 21 you dont need a helmet, i got my moped license im 14,

  • What do you mean doesnt need tags?lol

  • Don't understand. It does have a side lock to put a helmet.

  • does the seat have a lock ?

  • In Maryland no. 50cc and under no.

  • 3 Wheeled Gas Scooters or Motorcycle only requires a Drivers License. You can not ride a Moped or Standup Scooter with a seat over 25MPH unless in a Bicycle lane.

  • CALIFORNIA LAW ONLY!

A Gas Scooter is Classified as under 150CC although any gas Scooter or Motorcycle with 2 wheels and a motor requires a M1 Motorcycle license, Helmet and registration. Moped, Electric scooter or a stand up Scooter with a seat requires a M2 license and a one time fee of $18.00. No Helmet or registration.

  • and you need insurance?

  • do you think or know if those same laws apply to california?
