What made him special is he hadn't been scouted as well as veteran goalies. As Philly started playing him by that time they learned his weaknesses with shooting up high. You can anything you want about this Flyers team except about their heart. The players on this team had more heart and more fight than anyone else and no one can take that away. They fought through injuries, bad games, and bad calls to pull out comeback after comeback. Blackhawks won the Cup and they deserved it, but the Flyers are the team that will go down in history.
