i live in bayfield and i have all my life. its wonderful. i love to go to the candy shope, they have like 100 flavors!!!!!! it is a good place to live. screw that guy!!!!! yeah and with out the tourists than it actually would shut down.... :( but the summers nice and in the fall we have apple fest!!!!!! its fun and just awsome!!!!! so come to bayfield if you want to have a family trip! btw im 13. ♥♥♥

I've never been there. I live in Walnut Creek, Calfornia (20 miles from Sam Francisco) and have all my life. I was just curious as to why Bayfield would be a good place to visit but not to live in?

Because not enough people live there. Its pretty much dead except in tourist season. And its protected as a tourist town and cant really grow.

I was there for the 1st time back on 6/30/10,....... You are oh so correct with your insight! It was so enjoyable, layed back & relaxing to visit this small town!

Yes Bayfield is a great place to visit but growing up there was not so wonderful. I was happy to get the hell out of there when I could and I never looked back!

yes bayfield still is the best little town in the midwest. my families boat is there and we live all our summers in bayfield. it truly is a place that doesnt need all the modern hassles.

The Apostle Islands are absolutely amazing for sea kayaking. The caves are amazing to go through. Sand Island is spectacular. Cliff jumps are fun. Bayfield is definitely a nice town.
