Thank god i found this,, i was sooo stuck in a loop of basic chords and progressions, lol, im just a basic guitarist, but i love to write songs,, lyrics and tunes come sorta easy,, just need to work on the guitar and you guys helping heaps.. i can hear songs in all your (so called ) simple stuff :P
Nice tutorial. Very Helpful. Also nice that the sales pitch is at the end...and not pushy...just a nice reminder of the site that brought you the video. I wish all video ads were done as tastefully.
Oh yeah, and definitely has the 'Dr. House' look! 8-)
this guy is really cool, i've learned a lot with him.. am i the only guy that thinks that if you put a little hair in his face will look like DR House?
I've been watching these tutorials ever since I first picked up a guitar and learned to play Killing in the Name with you guys. That video was awesome and all of yours are.
Even now as I search advanced techniques instead of beginner songs you are still in the top 10 results, and I see why.
I hope you guys never stop making videos. You love what you do, and that's why we all love you so much too.
Nice... I really like those Dmaj hammer-ons, and I think LedZep does that D-string hammer on with Cmaj in Hey Hey, what Can I Do, and it really spices up the song. Cool Trick
you guys ROCK!!!... long live nextlevelguitar!! hey david or tim... could u please let me noe what guitar brand and model this semi acoustic guitar is... i would really appreciate your reply.. THANKS
The guitar I use in this video is a Yamaha acoustic electric model Apx-5A I dont think theymake this model anymore -sounds real good plugged in - rock on! DT
Hi - thanks for the kind words - that guitar in the back is a mid 70s ovation breadwinner - pretty cool ax and ovations firstattempt at a solid body guitar - will play it in a lesson soon
pfft I woudl liek a lesson of "Memory will never die" by "Default", it's very good for acoustic and other guitars.
I knew I've heard someone playing thigns like that: Pink Foyd.
But it's not the all music, you should variate with that "hammer" finger thing, like hammer, no-hammer, hammer, no-hammer. I quite like this lesson, I'll try it in a near future.
you have no idea how great this is...took up the guitar 8 months ago at 53 and between you and Justin S. this is just a blast...best wishes from Vancouver.Rock on!...PS...tell 'm about the jimi hendrix chord!
Just wanna say huge thanks, only been playing for a year or so and i'm never gonna be a great player but your tips help me sound good and i get the biggest thrill just playing a few chords and sounding melodic, even if my kids think i suck!
hey next level guitar if you could put some john frusciante lessons on here that would be awsome you guys are sick and i really resect you for what your doing for guitar players thanks
thanx man , question for you , for the tom petty song , mary janes last dance , is this hammer on technique in the intro , where it goes ba ba BA , ba ba ,BA , .. and so on ?
Your help is always much appreciated!! Thanks!! These videos although not quite as good as learning songs still allow us to take what skills we have and experiment with different styles and techniques! I love it!
